This movie is made by me, a 15 year old 45th level necro. LoL I made this movie using a crappy type of program that kinda watches what you do on the screen and makes a movie out of it. I had a long speech written then the post messed up so this is kinda like a rewrite.

The movie is laggy...because of the program that I was using of course. If anyone knows any better programs could they plz tell me so that I can make the movie again? And plz leave your comments and questions. Thanks all~

45 Necro, Dameon Drayke

Everfrost Server

http://video.greatestjournal.com/node/2057

You should look at FRAPS. It does pretty much the same thing. And actually I did much of the same thing for awhile: record videos and post them on these boards.

Not too shabby. The one correction I need to point out is you state during the video that you are showing how to solo yellow ^^'s when infact they are ^'s. ^^'s are quite a bit harder. I have been soloing (on and off) level 57 ^^'s cats in Silent CIty (when I was 55) and although I can do it with little downtime, there is still about 10 to 20 sec wait as I heal myself and the pet afte the fight.

I solo rather similar, but add some other spells into the mix. This might not be the most effective method of soloing, but it works for me. This method might work better post 50. (as you'll get a Lich proc of most spells) Send pet in, cast both dumbfire pets (Dogs and Ghoul), then stun (keeps pet from taking damage and lets the dumbfires work, plus Lich proc), then both heals (life transfer and pet HOT), then Siphon (to get back that life you just gave away), then 20 Sec DOT line, then 4 sec DOT line, then both debuffs. Start and the heals and rinse and repeat. A lot of times I will recast the DOT even when it hasn't run out as power is really never a problem and you get that all important Lich proc.

Well yea...soloing for necro's is easy no matter what the level. As you saw I can solo those things for a good 30 min with maybe a few minutes rest. I'm sure once I find the ^^'s shadow prawlers I will be able to knock them out with just a tade bit more down time and a death every now and then LoL. Sometimes I slack. But thanks for the comments...I'm at school right now so I can't really check that link Sess but I will as soon I get home. Plz give more comments.

45th Level Necromancer

Everfrost Server

A few small things. Cast dumbfires BEHIND target to avoid AoE attacked from MoB. Also I recommend casting the rats first then the stench. Rats stay out longer (doesnt matter on short fights, but the long ones it helps). If you are gonna "Mark" the target, do it early in the fight, doesnt do much good when mob is at 25%. Casting convulse with a DoT and 5 pets on the target is a moot point and a waste of mana. It has a chance to break when the mob takes damage, and with that much on it, it will break very quickly. Don't forget to use HO's. They are not as effective as they were before LU13, but it is still free damage. The sooner you kill the target, the sooner you can pull another . But all and all you did fine.

good tips, but i disagree on the convulse thing.

Stun does not break on damage, if its not resisted, it sticks for the whole duration (yes the entire 6 seconds )

One thing, if it is a AOE then it will affect the whole area not just the front, right or wrong? And some AOE's that I know do only affect the front. But what it was that I was soloing wasn't really dependent on the pets...just my Dots, and my main pet heals...other than that its all back up.

I would understand where your coming from if the pets would hold some aggro...but when they die...the enemy will come after you till you die not really the pets.

It depends on the type of AoE. You have three types:Point-Blank: Affects everything around the caster. Your Breath of the Unearthed line is Point-Blank.Encounter-Based: Affects the entire encounter, and nothing outside of it. The Blight line is Encounter-based.Targeted Area: Affects everything around the target. Necromancers do not have any Targeted Area spells. When pets die, be it regular pets or swarm pets, all aggro they generated is instantly transferred to you.

Well I have seen the swarm pets take aggro after my main pet dies but it has only happened on a few rare ocassion...or when I don't cast anything at all. But I wouldn't say that it was instantly transferred...but what do I know...lol.
