<DIV>A long time ago, I was able to get Grim Terror (48 warlock) master spell for really cheap.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm 46 now and just got Shadowy Assassin which is a very nice damage pet.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm curious how the two compare post combat revamp, and how desirable, in general, is the Grim Terror as a Master pet.  Thanks.</DIV>

There is NO upgrade for the master you have, which right there makes it WAY more desirable. You will get a new assassin at 60, but that master warlock pet you have is literally the best warlock pet you can get.Overall? I dunno about that, but if I got a master for that spell I certainly wouldn't sell it unless I was BEYOND desperate for money.

<DIV>Since it's not going to be replaced, I won't sell; would much rather scribe it.  Before the combat revamp, I had heard that the warlock pets were kinda [Removed for Content].  I was pretty sure that post-revamp, this pet probably would do nice damage.  Plus, it'll be the only master pet spell I have.  Can't wait until 48.  Thanks.</DIV>

<DIV>i have both the master 48 Grim Terror and Master 42 Shadowy Assassin </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>my conparison:  assassin pet is hand down best dps vs single targets and small groups </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Caster pet however has it bonus its massive AOE dps for those big groups but bit slow on its cast time -- in AoE groups u can get some nice xp and caster pet here helps alot when pulling in 5-15 mobs at once  and yes it is the last upgrade for that type of class so it is WELL worth KEEPING and scribing u get upgrade of tank pet at 52 (mines only adept 3 atm ) and as ppl said the assasin pet at 60 and from what i seen on beta master version of this one has a 5k assassinate skill that procs every so often</DIV>

<BR> <DIV>Agree with the good comments above.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, I have consistently found that the mage pet is better when fighting orange or above mobs. For those mobs, the scout gets resisted badly and sometimes does zero damage in a fight.</DIV>

<P>I have Adept III tank and assassin pet and Master 1 warlock pet. Normally I will solo with the tank pet for hard hitting mobs, or the assassin pet for lots of low hp mobs. I used the Warlock pet last night in Scornfeather Roost and found the bimbo pet did very well. For those that don't know Scornfeather Roost is a instance in Clefts filled with lots of ^ groups, ^^ heroics and ^^^ named. She exceled here with her aoe spells, and stayed sufficiently distant to not eat a barrage etc the whole encounter.</P> <P>Sark.</P> <P> </P>
