Spellbinder pet bugged?

Anyone else noticed our warlock pet is kind of nuts?He fires a spell, runs closer and repeats. By the 3rd spell he's in melee range and usually ends up taking damage... Last night he ended up dying multiple times due to his kamakize run.Is this how he is supposed to work? I would have expected it to pretty much stand next to me and nuke (as long as he sees the mob).Xame
