In addition to what Chup just said, you can also lower your aggro by using Tarton's Wheel but most people won't get that item till they're 40+. Just wanted to throw that in.

Really just have to get into a couple access-quest zones and do alot of running. Here's a great walkthrough: http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=quest&message.id=63835&query.id=0#M63835

For aggro issues, try to stay a bit away from the mob you are fighting. Distance will help reduce your aggro. It also gives you time to start a stun if you see the mob turn and move towards you.

Stun and move away a bit will almost always get the mob to switch back to the pet if that is all you did after they first turned on you.

GS

When I attack grps of 3 and 4.. I always get agro, even with my adept3 tank pet with off stance on.But ok I’m getting better and better on rooting the ones that go on me, and wait for my pet to come and eat them My adept 3 pet heal gets me agro the moment I cast it do we get a agro decrease spell later?

What? I thought that the off stance where more agro, since hitting faster and harder? But Ok I will off course try the defencive stance then thanks..

Yup when soloing I always use the defensive stance... it has a Damage Ward and helps you by not having to heal quite as much. Try the rooting, or send in the Rats to supplement damage. I also use a low group DOT like Blight to ensure I get credit for all the MOBS, especially in group based encounters where you may be distracted by off tanking for your regular tank. Our weakness spell also gives us time to back off and root as it puts a snare on the MOB. In extreme cases fear it and then root it if you are taking massive damage, just be sure you have no pets on it at the time or your fear will break as soon as the MOB takes a hit.

When doing more than 1 MOB I always root and just take the damage from the others before my pet taunts them off me then you can easily regain your initial health loss by casting your Lifetap. I am rarely out of green with regards to health even if I tackle groups of MOBS. The same can NOT always be said for my pet though... heh... kill it and make a new one... it is faster than using mana and trying to heal it after battle. You can then quickly suck some power from it and attack again with little downtime.

Gilron

30 Necromancer Mistmoore

When soloing with pet, defensive stance is the way to go. My adept 1 pet can hold off 4 yellow con while I nuke, dot and ae them to dead. Usually I let my pet attack one mob while I nuke and dot one and send limited pet on another. Rarely have I ever grab agro from my pet. When you grab agro, just move closer to your pet and its ae taunt will get the mob off you. Or just direct your pet to attack the mob that agro you. Or jusr fear and root it.
