I seem to be harvesting t6 rares fairly well...so I decided to upgrade dooming darkness to adept 3. It over doubled the damage from my previous snare (now comes out to 70ish per tick for 45 seconds) and upped the snare to 91% (app4 was like 56%), AND I've yet to get a resist in 3 hours grinding yellow ^^. I think that's definitely worth the rare if you can afford it. Just my 2cp. <div></div>

<P>Does it seem to be less prone to break when the target is damaged?  </P> <P>Right now I mainly just snare everything for the extra lich proc and not so much for the snare since it usually breaks after a tick or two.  When I kill without my pet (root/snare/stun) it seems to last a bit longer but with me casting it as soon as it refreshes most times the actual dot damage still plays only a small role.</P> <P>I guess I am more concerned with the snare and it holding than I am with the DoT damage it does.</P>

It seems to hold for at least a good 10 seconds with just DOTs before the mob gets close enough and I send in the pet and start nuking. The huge snare % increase makes it into a near root....if only the casting range was 45m...</span><div></div>

<DIV>I may have to try pullling with snare when killing solo mobs.  Now I mainly just pull with my pet and let him keep aggro the whole fight.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However, I just hit 54 so I have my nice new M2 offensive buff so I am experimenting with soloing using it instead of the M2 def buff to speed up kills.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I think tonight I will try my scout pet with off stance on and me pulling.  The scout easily doubles the tank pets dps (scout was parsing about 200dps before I got the offensive stance to M2).  I think if I pull with snare, stack dots on inc, send pet and hit a lifetap I should be able to plow through solo mobs.  Wont have to worry about resummoning pets since I will have the aggro and with quick kills I should be able to maintain my hp with the lich procs and lifetap.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for the tip!</DIV>

Although, solo DoF mobs seem to NEVER drop chests for some reason =/</span><div></div>

The damage that the snare does alone doesn't break the snare... and with lich neither does the lich damage. So do you think its plausible to just kite this way, only using low damage DoTs and Adept III snare?

<DIV>I've had lich break a preexisting root when I cast a root refresh before, any damage can break those speed altering spells.</DIV>

I guess I don't leave enough of them up running long enough to get an accurate measurment.
