Necromancer or Coercer

This is a repost from the mage generic board as I need an answer semi fast <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I have recently reactivated my account after many months of being absent from the game. Decided to join Lucan in his quest for domination, and decided to try a spell slinging class. EQLive days of necromancy inspired me to start one, but I am beggining to worry slightly as to the ability to find groups as a necromancer. Thus I am here asking for advice.Are groups tough to find for necromancers? Would a coercer be a better choice? Do Coercers add significant DPS to the group or are they simply CC? Is most of that DPS direct or indirect (through buffs)? Any helpor advice is appreciated

Any helpor advice is appreciated<hr></blockquote>Necros are getting a good rep as mega DPSers now in my experience, so I've been doing decently at getting groups, AND we really rock the solo scene IMO. Chanters are now better at solo than they used to be, not as good as necros, but servicable....and still great in groups where breeze/alacrity and the new buff lines really shine. It's really a huge difference in how you want to play....if you like soloing and great DPS in groups, necro is your best bet. If you want to do most of your DPS by cool buffs on groupmates, or if you really like charming stuff...coercer. Also note that both necros and chanters are among the top in pvp duels.</span><div></div>

groups love the power regen and Crowd Control in a Coercer. and more buffs? groups are begining to love the DPS, Occasional heal,rez,  and even the pet. As a necro, I've had some Healer classes want to duo with me alot and they all say "man our classes really shine togather!" etc. personally, the necro is just plain FUN after 30+ <div></div>
