<DIV>When you have pet on "Guard me" & "Protect Yourself" should the pet pull off it's current target to agro the mob on you if you start getting hit?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Reason I ask is prior to #13 changes my pet would turn on anything that even looked at me wrong but now when fighting little wierd looking dudes (yellow group of 3) in PoF one mob will peel off sometimes and pet doesn't try to agro him (pet has 2 mobs on him).  I am using RT Master I in Def. Stance.  figured I should ask here if maybe I am expecting to much from my pet.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>To my recollection, I've always had to manually set my pet on any new aggro I got when I was already engaged with another encounter.</DIV>

<DIV>Whenever I have had 1 mob aggro me out of an encounter I have never had my RT go after it if it was already targeted on something else. However if I switched his target to the mob that just attacked me he can usually regain it's aggro and pull it off me. Once he did that I switched his target back to the original target.</DIV>

<div></div><div></div>Your pet should carry on attacking what you told it to.   It used to try and help you out on game release and it was a nightmare to kill any multiples.   Basically attacking whatever it wanted.   It is much much better now. <font size="1"> <i><font size="2">"Pets will not change targets of their own volition. When commanded to attack a specific target, your pet will continue to attack that target regardless of who or what is attacking it or you. Once the current target is dead, your pet will react based on the behaviors you have set for it. That is, if you've told it to "Protect Me," it will switch to a target that has attacked you. If the pet is in "Protect Yourself" mode, it will switch to a target that has attacked it. If neither of those behaviors are selected, the pet will wait for a command from its master before taking further action."</font></i></font> <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=stat&message.id=116&query.id=0#M116" target="_blank">Pet Contols</a> <div></div><p><span class="time_text"> </span></p><p>Message Edited by Uanelven on <span class=date_text>10-04-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:48 AM</span>

you will notice sometimes right at the begining of a multi mob fight that one of the mobs might start to head after you.  then the pet will use a group taunt and that stray mob will spin around and go right after your tank. <div></div>
