<DIV>I searched the boards and only found a few mentions of the sacrificial heart spell. I feel this was nerfed so badly that it deserves it's own thread. So, here is my rant. I can only hope that my fellow necromancers feell the same way and post your disappointment in hope of gaining Sony's attention.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pre DoF I was truly lucky to have the Master 1 Sacrificial Heart drop on a raid ( I was the only necro). Of all the spells I could hope for, that I felt truly benefited the raid group, this was the one I would have selected. Now, it is pure rubbish and I would trade it in a heart beat (if I had a heart). Between my hearts and splinters, and the Mage Slivers, we could keep our clerics healing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now the raid mobs are MUCH more difficult, and our one BIG utility items has been super nerfed.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sony, please give Necromancer's a heart!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Electri Cal'Diva</DIV> <DIV>Necromancer of the 51st Season</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>I disagree. I hate the heart. It takes 30 seconds per cast. Most of the time no one knew what they were. The other bit, if they knew what it was, they didn't know I already gave it to them (Even after telling them I did). It's a junk spell.</P> <P>I also disagree that it's our best group utility. I'd have to say our new heal is the best group utility spell we have. The three spells I cast the most at lvl 50 are Lifetap, AOE lifetap, exchange life. In that order. I've been the reason why the tank lived in a close call fight more than I can remember. My exchange life spell heals for more than a lvl 52 warden's 2 heal spells (adept 1 vs adept 3)</P> <DIV>I never used the spell much to begin with, but how was it nerfed? It was given charges, that increases it's usefulness. Was the amount of power given reduced? That would be a nerf to all health to power items like the manastone, which would then be considered a balance pass.</DIV>

You disagree with that? Before the revamp the hearts were decently useful because they had alot more power conversion and could be used in conjuntion with manastone. NOW they have been hugely reduced in power conversion and now have the same power conversion (roughly) as manastone AND they're on the same timer. Sure, it was neato that we got charges (based on spell lvl, which is [Removed for Content]) but what's the point of using an annoying perishable item when you can just use the manastone for free?</span><div></div>

They definitely aren't on the same timer as Manastone...I use Manastone and Sacrificial Hearts regularly when I need to get a quick burst of power. <div></div>

Correct, I've used them both, one being activated the moment the other had finished activating. <div></div>

I posted my comments on another thread about a week ago, but I will explain again what I think of it. the Heart line of spells are pure crap now. Even upgrading from adept 1 to adept 3 Sacrificial Heart only gave an increase of 33 points to 38 points of mana ever 4 seconds for 20 second duration. In long raids before the revamp people would beg me to give them hearts before and during the battle. Now they don't ask for it. Also when people are having over 3000 points of mana one heart won't even fill up the mana bar 1/4. I agree that something needs to be done.

I dont use the hearts at all. very noticeable health cost + unnoticable power gain=bad <div></div>
<DIV>I think the necros that don't like the heart didnt do raids like SotL in the early stages when the hearts were needed or in a group that is trying something harder than the DPS they have to kill it. They have a 3 charge cast now which is nice but the conversion is not the same. That coupled with clarity not being about to be used across groups would make the old heart very viable. I don't know though, I went and got a Vessel. That and tapping my pet over the course of the fight seems to keep me powered. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My irritation is more towards our power from pet conversions. They are all on the same timer now so you can get 2/3 power with the two spells and they tap for less making it neccessary to hit that spell over the course of a fight. Its not that bad though when Im doing 420 DPS non ae and healing the tank at the same time.</DIV>

The extra charges are nice, but their value has plummeted <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
