<DIV>I have a Dark Elf Nec, at level 20, she has 20 STR (inc +7 from equipment).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just wearing armour (+4 STR) and weapon (+3 STR) leaves me with a weight ratio of 129/100.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am always slightly overburdened and when i pick up some drops I become seriously burdened, this slows my spell casting and my run speed (and if I die, my speed is a joke).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Am I doing something wrong here? Is anybody else experiencing the same penalties?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On a side note, on logging into the game, i'm always prompted for graphic card and PC specs info. It says I can disable this if i go to "download options". Can someone tell me where I can find that place?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>BTW, where do i go to get spell upgrades and are they expensive?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Vaalda on <span class=date_text>09-23-2005</span> <span class=time_text>04:27 PM</span>

Try getting some weight reducing bags (Tailors can make 10% to 19% weight reducing bags), carry less coin on you (especially copper, which is <I>notoriously</I> heavy), and sell/bank whenever you get the chance. Being encumbered does not slow your spell casting speed, just your run speed. Also make sure your gear is up-to-par (no items that you greatly outlevel, or in other words no items that are grey to you). As you level higher and higher, your gear starts to get more STR behind it. Pristine Tailored Canvas, which level 20 to 30 tailors can make, has +3 STR on the robe, and +3 STR on the legs, for example. You're actually doing just fine as far as STR goes, so don't worry, and just keep your gear up-to-date as you level and you'll be fine.Spell upgrades are as follows:Apprentice 2: NPC VendorsApprentice 3 and 4: SagesAdept 1: Monster drops from chestsAdept 3: Sages, but requires a rare (for a list of Adept 3 spells you should be looking at, visit <a href=http://eq2.eqsummoners.com/viewtopic.php?t=1894 target=_blank>The Summoner's Tower</a>)Master 1: Very rare drops from monsters, also frequently rewards for defeating Epic encountersMaster 2: Every 10th level starting at level 14 you have the option of upgrading one of four spells to Master 2 rank.
