Spell advice

Lo all, I currently have a 23 necro and 2 palladium clusters. Was wondering what would be the "must" spell upgrades, Im still re-learning my char and absolutely  loving the necro (My main was a Wizard but there's just way too many of them now). I've been reading mixed feelings about what spell upgrade to choose at lvl 24 (Rats or Lifetap mainly) Kinda torn myself actually hehe I solo and group 50/50 - Currently have Lifetap adept 1 and all other T3 spells at AppIV, some T2 Adept III's, Rats still App 1 (just dinged so havent upgraded) I was leaning on getting rats and the tank pet to Adept III and choosing the Master II Lifetap. The first one should be Undying Adherent, no ifs ands or buts about it. If you group a lot get Grim Spellbinder Adept 3 as well. Don't worry about getting rats to Adept 3, I'd recommend you use your Master 2 choice on the rats instead. After that, I also recommend Boon of the Lifeless if you group, or Grisly Brace if you solo a lot (but only if you don't want to use your Master 2 choice on Grisly Brace).

<P>I agree with Xal.    I chose Rats for my 24 Master II and Grisly Brace for 34 Master II choices, and don't regret it.     </P> <P>At 24 I would definitely make sure you have Undying Adherent Adept III and Grim Spellbinder Adept III - one for soloing, the other for grouping. </P> <P>Consider selling your Palladium clusters on the broker and buying Rough Jasper to replace it.   Both palladium and jasper can be used to make your spells, but Palladium is significantly more expensive due to jewelery use (palladium torques for one).   You might be able to scavange an extra 15-20 gold and still get your two Adept III's.</P> <P> </P>

KEEP one palladium cluster!  You'll need it for one of the heritage quests (the Strange Black rock, for the Manastone).

I'd recommend upgrading UA and Swarm of Rats to adept 3....then pick Life Tap for Master 2. There's another thread on the arguements for it, but basically I think at that lvl, having a more effective self heal is more important than slightly more DPS from the rats. Much later in life, rats are more worth it...but at that level, the upgrade to Master 2 Life Tap is more effective than the upgrade to the rats (especially considering it's going to be harder and more expensive to get life tap adept 3 than it would be to get rats adept 3 because it's a brand new spell). Either way you won't [Removed for Content] yourself...but my opinion would be that Life Tap is a more useful spell at that lvl for the upgrade to master 2. <div></div>
