Well I'm getting close to dinging 26 and I'm still wearing my Academic Robe of Summoning that I received at level 10 when I became a summoner.  About 60% of the rest of my gear is gray, though it does have stats on it like +int, +power, etc.  Does anyone have any tips on where to find new armor, and especially a new robe?  I'm so sick of that white robe! <div></div>

There si a red bloodstained robe that requires you to quest in Fallen gate.  The quest NPC, is the lady near the sewer zone cap in North Freeport. She used to require you do to the FG access quest (from te guy next to her)  before she would talk to you.  Now that the access quest is gone, I dunno if she'll give it right out.  I also have no idea what level the robe greys out. Been a long time.  It is a normal robe look in dark red w/ black trim. She's jammed into the corner, so you have to get back near the cap to even see her. -T <div></div>

<P>"Web-Covered" VLA drops randomly in chests in Nek Forest.  They are usable at level 20.</P> <P>Go to Enchanted Lands and work Deputy Nettlebrine's quests.  Eventually you can get a Robe of the Valekeeper with a +8 INT on it, usable at level 30 or 31.  On the way to that you get several other "Valekeeper Items" with INT bonuses in the 6-8 range too.  They start being wearable at 29.</P> <DIV>You could also do your 6 armor quests.  After completing the 6th one you get a "Thick Woven Robe" wearable at 24.  They're also decent xp, even at level 28.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There's the "Flowing Robes of D'Lyle" wearable at 14 with a +10 INT on it.  You get that from the Valley of the Rogue Magi solo instance off the Commonlands.  It's off a kinda rare spawn though, so that can take a while, especially since there's a timer on the zone.  Several other decent +INT items drop in there also, and the Adept book drop rate seems high in the zone, so you can sell those for some decent cash too.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV>And if you have Splitpaw. . . after level 25 if you beat the Arena Champion you get the Arena Champion's Robes.  Wearable at 29.  + 9 INT on them, plus some okay other stats.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV></DIV> <DIV>Find a tailor and have them make you something level appropriate.  At level 28 you can wear "tailored" Tier 4 items.  Try a /who all tailor command.  Join the tradeskiller's channel for your city and spam into it that you are looking for VLA for your level and ask if any tailors are on.  Are you in a guild?  Does your guild have a tailor that you can trade services for something?  My guild tailor gets lots of pelts from me, because I harvest denbs for meat with my provisioner.  I get a lot more pelts than meats though, so I trade them to her, and she makes me armor if/when I need it.  And I also keep her supplied with food, if I find an adept book for her adventure class I make sure she gets it, etc.  Scratch some backs so you can get your scratched in return.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Good luck, and happy hunting!</DIV>

<div></div>Thanks for the tips everyone. Do you think you could point me to where I start those six armor quests?  I don't know where to begin. Edit: I found the answer to my own question.  Starts from (I believe) Kirsteh the Witch in East Freeport. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Dark_Matter on <span class=date_text>09-18-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:42 PM</span>

<P>The Armour Quests are all well and good...  if you have a group to help you...  </P> <P>Pre-Combat Revamp, I gave up after #3 and I shudder to think about the areas of Fallen Gate you need to be in for those quests post Combat Revamp.  </P> <P>If you're a predominantly solo player, there is a series of quests from 4 NPCs in Nek Forest that will net you a variety of nice ungrades, with the final quest reward from the last NPC being a robe that's wearable at 29 (by the time you get through all 4 NPCs worth of quests you'll likely have gotten a level or two)</P> <P>The first NPC is Bruhn K'Viir and he's on the edge of the beach, near the trail back to Nek Forest.</P> <P>This is a link to the quest itself...  <A href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/quests/ProveYourself.php" target=_blank>http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/quests/ProveYourself.php</A></P> <P>I spent most of a day at level 27 doing the quests for all 4 NPCs, so it should be doable for you.  (tho I was using the old Fallen Hero training pet)  The only real *trick* is that when you're facing the champion, if you don't kill it fast enough a bunch of spiders will spawn.  You only need to kill the champion to get the quest update...  so you can zone out once you've done that before the spiders overwhelm you.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

Thanks bluestocking, I got the first quest from Kirsteh last night and I saw that I have to kill Lady Pavlova (or whatever her name is) and a bunch of those heroic undead knights near her.  Lady Pavlova is a ^ ^ ^ heroic who was yellow to me at 25.  It looks as if it may be too tough to be worth the time to get a group put together to tackle all the quests.  I'll go check out those NPCs in Nektulos when I have time to play next.  Thanks! <div></div>

<DIV>The ghost is yellow at 25?  How?  She's level 21^^^.  She was always a [self-ninja'd] before anyway, so you always wanted a group to kill her, no question.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Fallen Gate isn't bad.  The mobs that are ^^^ now were ^^ before.  But there are soloable versions of all of them as well.  Mostly they're 20 and 21 level.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>AQ4 is the hard one with all the 21^^^ rats and 25^^^ veterans you have to kill.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>AQ5 and 6 are both in Nek forest, and each have a "boss mob" you need to kill, btu the rest are easily soloable at 25-26.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've usually not really had any trouble finding people who were also doing the AQ's to group with.  Just spam in /ooc that you are doing AQ1 and usually any others doing it will be glad to help you, becuz they need the help too.  FG has a lot of reasons to go other than the AQ's, but in my experience it seems like 1/3 to 1/2 of the people in there at any given time are there for the AQ's.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Do you have a guild?  Ask them to help.  I'm sure they'd be glad to also.  If you're on Befallen server, look me up too.  I'd be happy to help, either by serving as a tank or healer. . or even would be willing to try a dual-mage group.</DIV>
