<DIV>I /feedbacked in game yesterday night but after a while of soloing I kept losing my level 34 pet in fights. I was doing a writ from Freeport to kill off Briarpaw cubs in Enchanted Lands, so of course I killed most bears on that patch, did some level 33's level 34s (while of course I was level 34). When I did my /respec I chose to have a master II quality of Transfer Life which is around 587hit points. When my pet (soloing) gets to 10-20% I can cast that spell and voila hes full health which means he has to have less than 600 hit points. Just seems to me there isnt enough time to chain cast heals on that pet and to keep me alive as well, so in some cases my pet ends up dying and I still have to fight off 15% of the mobs health.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At the moment I cant hardly use any other spells as again I'm chain casting heals to pet and also lifetapping to heal me <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Some fights may go well where I can cast Withering Affliction and Pestilential Blast. When I can, I"ll use Fear but it lasts a what......12seconds <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> which sucks cause in EQ1 it would last at least 30-45sec+</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For right now, all I'm asking is to buff up the level 34 pet.......my current spell is an Adept 1 Quality spell but for 600hit points it may as well be a App 1; imagine what my level 34 pet would be against Grimfeather which happens to be level 25 double arrow up.....3 hits and bam hes dead <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>I feel for you man. I don't know what I would have done without the free training pets at 20 and 30.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It was never easy for me to get adept3's of spells too. adept1 was the best i could afford most of the times at those levels.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have the following suggestions till they fix mitigation or hp of that pet.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. get adept1 atleast if possible for the pet defensive stance. It adds 12% hp.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV>2. Also, if you are 34 you can group up and scrape up 4 levels when we get the the rotting thrall pet. Get its adept3.</DIV></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3. try to get adept3 of the level 24 tank pet. I know its tough but even if you have to borrow money do it because this 1 spell itself will make your life 10 times easier.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>Yah ,pets dont tank for long now even for a small group of 1 or 2 arrow down mobs and barely last 30 secs agaisnt a 2 arrow up mob solo mob.</P> <P>I got RT/grim ad3 and shadowy master 1 and I can tell I tank some where bettewn RT and scout pet.</P> <P>I can tank much better then our warlock pets, easily 3 times better.Grim pet Is not doing any where near the dps of scout pet + it dies in 10 secs.</P> <P>Also if you notice our spell defense stance adds +int and I thought that would make my grim ad3 to nuke for higher dam but still does max of 558dd.It is frustrating when scout easily does 800 to 1600 dam hits and wee pulls agro off ma and then pet dies in 15 secs to thsoe 3 arrow up mobs eh.</P> <P>Oh dont forget that grim terror (skeleton) dont have animation when fighting, maybe the lamia pet(grim temptess) have combat graphics, I hope.</P> <P>Pets these days are toys for extra dps like they were on Eq1 but in here they do hell a lot more dps at last.</P> <P> </P> <P>Allowen</P> <P>lv50 necro</P> <P>Mistmoore server</P> <P><A href="http://rsmistmoore.com/" target=_blank>http://rsmistmoore.com/</A></P>

<DIV>Which pet stace are you using? and what quality of spell is that? Try changing to the other stance, especially if the spell quality is better.. You might even want to try the scout pet.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for the Transfer life Master II. I still use that at level 47. We get a replacement at 47, but the App I heal value is only 460 some points. I haven't been able to find any upgrade yet much less an Adpet I. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>You do know that your Grim warlock pet isn't intended to tank mobs -- at all. Right?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>With the defensive aura going at Adept I, my Adept III Grim Spellbinder tanks ok at level 33 in EL vs. those same mobs, but I spend a lot of time healing his butt though, which is certainly to be expected. Your Warlock pet is a group pet... use him where he works best. Undying Adherent, cheesy as he may look, is by far a better choice soloing in EL. Heck, with the defensive buff now, they do an effective job area taunting too.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>Dark, I'm a lvl 34 necro and I tested EL last night and was mowing down the bears, turtles, and goblins lvls 33-36. Try the UA with defensive buff and you will have no need to heal until after several fights later. I even intentionally aggro'd some additional mobs to test the taunt. Although if you do that, be prepared to work as the pet has trouble with the additional damage and it is well known we can't heal our pets for squat atm so you will need to utilize stuns, roots, fear to keep him alive through fights. So far I like the changes, but as EL and and others have pointed out, we have some issues (like pet heals) that need some attention.</P> <P> </P> <P>Devore</P> <P>Guk</P>

<DIV>Well that is wrong too. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The rotting thrall tank pet with defensive stance tanks straight up and very well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It is all about tactics, timing your stuns, your heals, possibly use a fear if you have to as a last resort, but our TANK pets, with the DEF buffs, hold up great.</DIV>

I am a 36 necromancer and I am currently using my little tanking zombie (adept 1) in defense mode (adept 1) and chain pulling the blue ^ and blue ^^ orcs in Zek. As long as I work only the singles, I have almost no down time and I maybe heal the pet one time every other fight. White mobs require a heal or two during the fight and a little rest to get us both back to full. OTOH, if I pull the blue miners that come in large numbers, I tend to have to run becaue we cannot kill them fast enough to prevent the pet from returning to the grave and taking me with him. With single mobs, I can take yellows. With two mobs, I can handle up to the blue ^^ pretty easy. Four or more and the pets just gets bludgened too much. I can usually survive these multi-mob encounters but I am out of power, low on health, and pet is red health. Better loot and exp taking on the singles.</P> <P>And the way he holds aggro is a thing of beauty. The only way I have been able to pull a mob off him (so far) is to stack every DOT I have, hit my pet heal, and then chain cast my two life taps as fast as they refresh. On about the third lifetap the orc will deside I have become too much of a problem and come to deal with me.</P> <P>So far, with about 4 hours of combat on my necro, I find I can live with the changes. I can understand why the change was done. The day before the patch I was soloing the white heroics in D'Morte with this same pet so I know we were just a tad overpowered.</P>

<P>LOL ya know to be honest I now remembered what happened. During Beta on my days off from work I would level my LIVE character; two days, I did pretty good, I went from 30-34 in 3 weeks time or so. When I dinged 34 I got that Grim Thelluan pet (sp), got the Adept 1 quality spell cause it reminded me of the Skeletal Marauder in Arena Champions, well also I tested the pet on some grey level mobs and saw it was a caster, not to mention that our Grim pet at 34 buffs up the party members. </P> <P>So what I'm saying here.......I never really tested out this pet til yesterday when the changes went into effect, I still have Undying Adherant Adept 1 I will try that out sometime (next)</P> <P>Thanks for the input.</P>

At 35, I'm still using UA adept3. He can tank very well. So far managed to tank 2 level 34 (1 down arrow) mobs in EL while I ae nuke(ae lifetap master 2 spells) and dot them to dead. Not a single heal needed and he still have 60% hp left. The pet taunt is awesome and the 2 pet buffs pretty much proc none-stop. For training spell, I go for AE lifetap instead of pet buff, it's awesome against group mobs. Even with 432 ae damage, the pet still has agro lock on group mobs. Both pet buffs are only adept 1 quality. <div></div>

Same here. I m a 36 necro and UA adept 3 hold sup very well, especially now that you have some major nukes u can finnish of the enemy much faster and you dont even have to heal him.

<P>Played with my Undying Adherant Adept 1 was soloing Feral Lashers and Fog Grimmin Whelps and I have to say, "It does not hold well"; each fight my pet gets to 60% and below, I still have to constantly heal so /gratz for you and /booo for me!!!</P> <P>.........wait maybe my trouble resided in Runneye Citadel (Entrance mobs) cause thats when I died; I tried to unleash my rats and my pet didnt do crap aggro on mob and it kept chasing me around which lead to my death; that enslaved boar creature was the mob.</P> <P>Then again I think in that small tunnel before you reach the boar NPC the pathing sucks so bad youre pet is off in neverland; I'll re try it again sometime.</P>

go buy the adept 1 for the 24 tank pet, the 34 pet is a caster , after 24 the next tank is 38. in a group the 34 pet is great he has high nukes and a group buff that gives hp and power. <div></div>

Level 24 UA pet will grow with you until level 37. That is 13 levels before it gets replaced by RT at level 38. So investing in a rare to get it to adept 3 is worth every gold that you spend. UA at adept 3 is a tanking beast. I nuke a mob for 200++ damage, in 5 seconds UA has the agro back. Sooth Servant at master 2 does not even heal half of a bubble of its hp. <div></div>

<DIV>Which is nice feedback but why spend 59gp on an Adept 3 Spell that will last what......2 levels....35 and 36; but its great advice for those who did ding 24 though</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well I finished off my level..60% xp and only died once, using the level 34 spell caster pet (Adept 1 Quality), I will probably keep using that, who knows.</DIV>
