Ok, these are pretty uber... the durations are a little short on some of them but they're pretty large buffs. That one spell could be enough to equalize our utility with the other classes, as long as they don't get an equivelent. I do dread raids going nutty for these things, good thing you can only have one of each at a time (if I'm reading that right). <div></div>

<DIV>I've done some more testing. You seem to randomly get a spell ( about 50% of the time ). You don't choose which one you get.. you just get it. It pops up like a new spell and appears in your book and on your hotbar ( if there is room ).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There are only 6 spells.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It seems like all of them with durations bug out all the soul spells you get. They are supposed to have a 10 second recast timer, but the timer doesn't seem to start if you cast one with a duration. The only one that works properly is the AoE one.</DIV>

so, tell me if i am thinking of this correctly. 1. you cast a spell (essence of anguish used) and it gives you one of those 5 abilities when the mob dies 2. when you use the ability you got from the original spell it is taken out of spell book 3. you then need to use the original spell (essence of anguish used) to get another one of the abilites at random when mob dies if i am correct in those assumptions this seems like another stupid spell. all of them but the HP/mitigation and power/skill buffs are just things that we already have from regular spells like the AE (breath of unearthed line), the summoned pet (stench line), and the heal (exchange life line). the buffs too aren't that great if they only have one charge and the only way to get a charge is by having the debuff on the mob when it dies. that would mean one of each on a raid mob up to 5 total spells plus it only lasts 30 seconds. i really don't see how this helped us at all in the utility or DPS category maybe i am wrong with how i think this spell is working it isn't that bad but i don't see a 30 second buff is really that great even though i have to agree it is a nice buff just too short a duration. also can we see a shot of the actual spell that gives these abilities someone said it has a STR/INT debuff on it which could make this worthwhile but that seems like it would be the only really useful part of it. <div></div>

Especially what a Necromancer should be capable of. SOE needs to pick a community representative of each class. Handlebars or Rizaz would be good choices as Necro Community Reps in my opinion of what changes should be done to Necromancer.<BR>

what is positive about this spell? the only good part of it is the STR/INT debuff the other abilities that you get are pretty useless. if you can tell me somehting worthwhile about these abilites i am not seeing i might change my mind but right now i am just seeing this as a stupid spell idea where you use a spell then get useless abilites that are one charge only and it takes a essence of anguish to get every charge. unless you can use the debuff part without taking a essence of anguish this is probably, just like charm undead in most situations, going to just be a waste of a hotbar slot. <div></div>

Those two buffs are the most powerful in the game post revamp so far as I can tell... the durations need to be increased but for raw numbers those are amazingly powerful DPS/MT buffs. Another swarm pet at almost no cost, a 1 second cast no power cost true AoE and a no cost HoT... those are also very powerful abilities. These abilities are far from useless. <div></div>

Agreed, far from useless but from the description given cumbersome. Would be alot easier if they were perm spells but worked otherwise the same. I've no desire to keep fumbling with my spell bar/book on a regular basis aside from leveling.I like the look and sound of all the whole deal really, just not the hassle involved. <div></div>

What would be better, is if this spell, when the target died with the effect on them, summoned a different type of dumbfire pet, maybe one with support abilities similar to what you can now get from the spell..or just has some other effect based on when the target dies..maybe even turn it into a group lifetap (i.e. one target but heals group).</DIV>

Can only get ad1 or M1 from drops or have a sage craft an ad3 from one of those legendary scroll drops you see all the time.

I'd like to see the buffs increased to 45 seconds to a minute, at least...for the moment, the only buff I use is Unstoppable Soul on a raid tank for the pull, even then it's not all that great....duration just isn't long enough to care most of the time. <div></div>

<P>I'm guessing that the reason why sometimes people think they are not getting a new Soul spell is because the one that it gives you as a result in having the debuff on the mob when it dies is already in your book. Personally I don't have a problem with this other than the fact that I seem to burn through my essences pretty quick trying to fill my 5 spell slots.</P> <P>This is a great spell, and all I have to say to those who think otherwise.... don't get it. Give me the rare you would have used otherwise and I'll put it to good use :smileyhappy:</P>

They really need to make the snake pet scale with your level, make the heal either last longer or heal for more, and increase the duration on the buffs then this spell would be worth the constant concentration to get all of those spells. I don't know about anyone else but I like these spells a lot, it just takes too long to get them. Maybe make it so we get these spells more often when the mob dies. It just takes too long to get them right now, frustrating at times.

I was dueling a guildie Inq in SC yesterday while we were waiting on another group member, and sure enough a little while after I cast my skeleton cobra the whole zone crashed. <P>OMG I think you are right! I was in a group the other night in Living Tombs and we were taking down the last Priestess... I was popping off my soul spells and soon after the zone took a crap. We came back and she had despawned (zone reset). Of course at this point it was 3:30am and we weren't in the mood to try and spawn her again.</P> <P>I'll be keeping my eye on this spell, and will /bug it if I notice this.</P>

do yo know you could be right - first time i cast teh snake pet (to see what it was), the zone crashed - never thought anything more of it, but it seems to be rather coincidental that this happens - had SC crash the other night too, cant remember if i was casting this then as well. <div></div>
Does anyone know if this happens in instanced zones as well? Wouldn't think there would be a difference, but just curious.
