<DIV>Could we please get this spell replaced with one that Necro's would actually enjoy using?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>How bout an animate dead line of spells that would allow Necros to summon different model pets that would have the same skills and model of the last npc that they killed.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This way Necro's would have better models than they currently have and it would definately be a good reward and a spell that I would greatly enjoy using.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also it would definately be understandable to tone these down to the same strength as our summoned pets.</DIV>

<P>That charm spell better be good, if not usefull on raids at last I want to be able to charm orange com 2 arrow mobs and stuff cause will not waste my time charmign a solo mob to use as a pet and need to kick out my summoned pet.</P> <P>IF we can use charmed pets on raids such encouters again arch lich without messing thigns up will rock but for that I guess we better have master 1 + of that.</P> <P> </P> <P>Allowen</P> <P>lv50 necro</P>

<DIV>It was changed. Eats up A TON less power. I think its like ~200 to cast, and 55 every 20 seconds after that. Plus it has a 15 minute duration now, so you don't have to refresh every minute. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>370 power a minute is really not alot.</DIV>

<P>Yes but which would be more usefull?</P> <P>Being able to raise and summon different model undead pets or a charm with an undead flag?</P> <P>Personally I would rather have a ghost pet that I summoned to take the place of my staring zombie but thats me.</P> <P>Also think about it if you got a master 1 animate dead spell thats the only pet you will ever need. For instance if you wanted a spell caster npc then go kill an npc spellcaster and raise up a ghost just like it, no reason to have to invest in getting masters of your tank / scout / mage line pets.</P>

Give us a Spectre Pet instead of the lame charm.

<div></div>thats the part that i think makes it useless most of the time is the fact it can break 30 seconds in and every 30 seconds from there on out.  prolly only use it to mess around really the chance of it breaking in middle of a fight and me getting wiped will probably outweigh whatever benefit it had. <div></div><p>Message Edited by quamdar on <span class=date_text>09-10-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:11 PM</span>

Thanks, but today the devs answered my question, too:*************Charmed Pets- If you charm an NPC with 1 or more down arrows, it will retain the health and power pools it inherently possesses.- If you charm an NPC with 1, 2, or 3 up arrows, it will have the health and power pools of a standard no-arrow NPC.- When a charmed pet is released, its health and power pools will return to their non-charmed values, taking into account any damage or healing sustained while charmed.- Charm will no longer break if you ask your pet to do something it isn't allowed to do.*************So why don't they just remove this spell?

<DIV>It still does good damage. Specially if you charm a cast mob that likes to drop 1k+ nukes.</DIV>

<span><blockquote><hr>Named88 wrote:<div>It still does good damage. When the charm breaks, all of its health/power stay at that lvl, the same as if you had mentored another player and then de-mentored lol That makes charm pretty [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] cool.....not sure if that will survive beta though lol</span><div></div>

can you elaborate on what actually happens like if i charm a 58 triple up mob it then becomes my level (lets just say 55) and also becomes a regular no arrow mob.  then when it breaks it goes back to being a 58 triple up mob?  if so does it's power/HP stay st the same percentage or what?  just would like to know a bit more of what actually happens with the charms spell. <div></div>

<DIV>Nothing to do with percentages.  If it's health is 3000 before charmed and you bring it down to 1000 health with your charm, and it takes 500 damage..when the charm breaks it will revert to it's normal health pool and take into account thedamage it has taken, thus it will be at 2500 health.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm not sure what happens if you, say, get a mob to 1% health and then charm it though, but based on what the patch notes have said I beleive the above to be true. It says it reverts to itself but takes into account damage and heals that have been applied to it.</DIV>

<font size="2">I play a coercer on test, and regarding charming heroics, it does bring its health and power down to an even con mob. If you let it get to like 1% health then release, it then reverts to the hp it has as a heroic, with the damage. Hehe, coercers were able to solo yellow ^^^ heroics before they made this change. Just charm a heroic have it attack something and let its health go down.. then release at 1% and kill it.. was fun for a little while. Obviously it needed to be changed <span>:smileytongue:</span> . I find the most use for charm fighting grps of mobs. especially 2 mobs linked. Charm one send it at another and let them fight it out.. Help the pet win but let it get low, then release and kill it. Using it as a regular pet imo is difficult as it keeps breaking, and since you guys don't have mez, recharming it would be even more so. Hope that helps. Btw excuse the trolling, my cousin has a necro and we duo almost exclusively.. was just checking out how his character's changes <span><span>:smileyhappy:</span></span> </font><div></div>
