I am new to this class, and I was wondering if I could get some advice. It seems to me that when I pull a grouped set of mobs with my pet, sometimes they all aggro to the pet and sometimes the mobs that my pet doesn't attack come running over to me. Are there different pets that are better at group pulling than others? Is it random? What do I have to do to get all the mobs in the group onto the pet? Thank you everyone in advance for your help!

Boon of the Lifeless.....

Cast it on your pet AFTER you have pulled.

All you have to do is read the spell description, it says it adds HATE not HATE GENERATION.

If you are soloing groups use your root. Select a target from the group to root, preferably the fighter, and root him before you send in your pet. About halfway through the casting time, send in your pet on a different enemy of the group. Whatever you do, don't send him on the rooted enemy. If the enemy group has more than 2 in it, you will have to take the other one down yourself. The root will last 14 seconds so you have some time to clear off some of the enemies. Just keep in mind that once you are to killing the rooted enemy that he will come straight to you and your pet will hardly ever get aggro back so just go crazy with the dps and don't try to have your pet gain back the aggro.

Thanks for the info guys, so it is my understanding that some pets can shout, and aggro a group of mobs, but otherwise i have to either have the pet attack each one in turn or root and manage. Are there any tricks you've known to work real well for a low level necro?
