<DIV>Personally I would wait on it till we have a definate answer that spells won't be reset if they were upgraded.</DIV>

<P>On my necro and also on my future ranger to be, I'm holding out on all possible upgrades till Combat Changes comes live.</P> <P> </P>

<P>I'm looking at it a different way.  After the upgrade AD III will mean more, thus spell prices may go up.  Judging from the screenshots here, the spells that had the same name, kept the spell level (Ad III, M I, etc.)  </P> <P>So, for me, I will be shopping for AD III Plague of Rats before the changes go live and debating on Stench.  </P> <P> </P>

<P>The spells will be upgraded in some cases and changed completely in others so knowing this if you wantede to upgrade your spells you probably should have done it all along </P> <P> </P> <P>Upgrading will not hurt a thing but changes shouldent be the only reason you want to upgrade you shoule be doing or have done because you wanted to be more efficient in your class</P> <P>at this time i am witing to upgrade because i will upgrade the spells that are new first knowing that they are class specific spells to give you class flavor</P> <P>but upgrading now would not be a negative thing</P>

<DIV>I have a ruby and ruthenium in the bank for spells.  I have never seen a necro spell drop of any level so have to rely on collecting money to buy them.  All my spells are Adept I except for necrotic mending.  I am broke.  Can't afford a master or the cost to get an Adept III made from my rares.  Too bad you can't use status points (which I have way plenty of) to earn spell upgrades or something.  On MM server, masters are going for plat and there are not very many out there to begin with.  So how are you guys getting the master spells?  IF someone were to look at my character (level 47) they would wonder how I could survive so long.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Shabbate Tiehl</DIV> <DIV>"I have no more flesh on my bones"</DIV>

Upgrade now if you've seen the 'new' spell from test and still want it. Upgrade now if you're low on cash and don't have a guild sage to make it for you at cost after the revamp. Upgrade now if you're going to outlevel the spell by the time the revamp comes. Upgrade later if you have the cash to spend on inflated sage pricing after the revamp or if you have a guild sage to make it for you. Upgrade later if you are going to be using this spell for a long time and want to be sure on the stats first. Now or later though....might be a good idea to buy/harvest the rares now before the revamp when the prices will go sky high and all the higher lvl harvesting will be flooded with others... <div></div>

Yes, Rotting Thrall is prolly your best solo pet, and unless you only group it will be the one you use the most.

<P>i do tend to use it a lot...  would more if it had animations...  if i'm in a guild group its either him or the thulian depending on what we are fighting...  </P> <P>debating if i want to get an adept 3 caster after revamp being they are supposed to cast adept 3 spells...</P>

Post-update, you will not be using your tank pets in a group unless it will be tanking. Your caster and scout pets do that much more damage.

<P>Woot.  Now which pets are those?  Been so long since I used anything but my Tank do we even have caster/shadow pets that are worth anything?  LOL</P> <P>Shabbate </P>

I've faithfully kept all my pets upgraded in anticipation of the day when they'd get fixed <div></div>

I think the change that auto attack damage is now modified by spell level is way important and I will be upgrading several pet spells due to this <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

BTW the test notes say something about Swarm of Bats now properly showing upgrades...soo that spell will be upgradable again (hopefully worth it) <div></div>

Yep, awaiting the delivery of my scout pet adept3 to finish up my set for the update. I'm still going to continue harvesting in hopes of getting one or two more rubies by expansion day. I'd like to be able to upgrade 2 more spells I currently have as well, but we'll see what happens.
