<DIV>Before anybody asks.. Yes, the defensive buff ( Grisly Stele ) seemed to do more damage than the offensive buff ( Words of the Wicked ) but only because the pet was tanking. Grisly Stele has a 32 pt damage shield component to it and this seemed to add in a ton of damage when the pet was tanking. If you have a real tank taking down normal group mobs, the offensivly buffed pet should come out on top.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The pet dps seems to tier VERY well now /clap sony. It is the way it should be: Warlock > Assassin > Fighter.</DIV>

<DIV>Also the Rotting Thrall seems to have gotten a new ability called Vile Breath. Vile Breath is a 3-4 second stifle and goes off every 10-15 seconds.</DIV>

Were all three pets able to hold agro and be useful solo?</span><div></div>

<DIV>What was the difference in amount of damage the pet took in offensive vs defensive mode.  Also, have you tried to take 3 solo grouped mobs at a time?  How is aggro management for pet.  Previously I would use WoW to get all mobs initial aggro on the pet.  Can we use Grisly Stele in the same manner or do we have to micromanage the pet to get him gain aggro of each mob of the group?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for the wonderful information.</DIV>

<DIV>Have you tried harder mobs?  Double ups by yourself?  I would like to know what happens when you try the pets on on one of them.  How well they hold up, aggro and dps of harder mobs.</DIV>

<DIV>All double ups are now tripple ups and yes I've tried one or two solo.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I used the Rotting thrall with defensive buffs and tried to solo the Congregation of Screams ( sp?) in EF, near undertow's room.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Since the mob is only levele 45, the Thrall really didnt take much damage. Chaining Necrotic mending kept the pet alive, and sometimes I had to cast Exchange Life ( Our new 450 hp heal ). The pet held agro very well ( MUCH better then it does now ) and I was able to slow burn the mob down.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Caster pet got owned when it tired to tank group mobs. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However I found a level 50 dirge buddy of mine and we went and duoed a now-tripple-up Glacier near the Menagerie. The fight was a measly 40 seconds.</DIV> <DIV>You            </DIV> <DIV>Total:    00:00:40 6243  156.07      </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Labarer <Rizaz's grim terror></DIV> <DIV>Total:    00:00:45 3773  83.84      </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>fetid rat            </DIV> <DIV>Total:    00:00:45 2920  64.89      </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>plague rat            </DIV> <DIV>Total:    00:00:45 1554  34.53      </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I parsed WELL over 300 dps in a 45 second fight.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>PS. Rats are now level 50 double and tripple down arrows.</DIV>

<P>I don't know if this has been talked about in a different forum, but the tank pet is suposed to be in front of the mob.</P> <P> </P> <P>The caster pet isn't positional as far as its dmg goes.  </P> <P> </P> <P>But the assassin pet would seem to be most effective if it was behind the target, if the pets = to PC scenario holds true.</P> <P> </P> <P>Has anyone tested the assassin pet's dmg from a rear positional attack standpoint ?</P>

<DIV>I got some questions:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Are the pets, especialy RT and then shadowy still losing all their power real fast that if we are chain killing weak mobs or gray com that we require to remake pet once in a while to get it faster to full power?</DIV> <DIV>Atm RT can hold agro well, was doing fine oting mobs in SE, was duoing with a 50 rogue and bard almost maxing dps but then pet went oopower real fast and BUm, totaly lost agro.</DIV> <DIV>I wanna know if the part of this revamp on pets if they are using less power per damage they do or at last more power regen/size?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>About grim pet, as AD3 on real server it does ok on his nukes, just dont proc as much as other pets with the WoW or RF.real problem of warlock pet atm for me is that he is soo slow on his nuking, way too slow but his best kind nuke thta only does that once per fight it can do up to 550 dam as far as I coudl see, but this dam was ultra rare, normaly with his bestn uke it goer around 300 to 430 max.</DIV> <DIV>Question, is the grim pet doing more dps now cause he casts faster of just because it is doing more dam/per cast?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Shadowy pet is doing high damage now cause it just hits hard and not cause backstab or can do it now?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, atm grim pet can be killed quickly by the most two arrow mobs, I wonder if with  defensive buff that pet could actualy do much better after revamp what would make it also not a bad option to fight  one to one fights that we for sure dont expect any add?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>thanks in advance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Allowen</DIV> <DIV>lv 50 necro</DIV> <DIV>Yuh guild</DIV> <DIV>Mistmoore server</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Wow, seems like the stances aren't your conventional "Defensive" buffs.  It just specializes the pet for doing damage based on whether or not it's tanking.</DIV>

<DIV>Ya.. I've been playing around on beta and I don't notice much bonus in using the defensive buffs, other then the pet holds agro much better. He seems to tank the same.</DIV>
