How to play Necro

I have a lvl 25 Necro with the fallen hero pet. Basical what I am asking how do I kill tuf solo mobs. Ex the Pit Champion in splitpaw. I've tried just healing my pet but he looses agro when pit champ is at 1/2 health. I've done a combo of heal/dots no luck there. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance <div></div>

Being a level 25 necro can be tough to solo because you are just now beginning to get the powers to be a necro.  The key to soloing the pit champ is having your pet keep aggro all the time.  You should have a spell call boon of the lifeless which should increase the hate of the pet 15%.  Use this spell often in combat as it will ensure that the pet keeps the aggro.  While your pet has aggro just concentrate on heals, stuns, and DOT's in that order.  Don't fool with long DOT cast time spells, like the 4 second cast spells that we get.  Rats are very good for the pit champion, but make sure you release this spell behind the pit champion because his AOE will kill the rats in one shot.  The rare times I have failed defeating the pit champ is when my pet loses aggro or dies.  If this happens use a root spell and cast another pet, and hope that he gets the aggro back which can be difficult.  Just stick with it and things will get better at level 28.

just another tip you may want to try, i havent tried it on the champ myself but i have found it works removing agro from myself and friends i duo with, use petrify as this stuns the oponent, walk away from the mob some while your pet is still attacking when the mob becomes un-stunned your pet should now have agro as he was closer. you  may want to wait until 26 you will get a new trait option one of which being an augmentation to decrease hate toward you. <div></div>
