I have a splitpaw question. I know that Splitpaw is advertised level 20 to 50 but I was wondering if a level 30 necro could solo well in that expnasion?

Thanks.

I finished the Splitpaw access quest when I am 38, and I need a 43 Templar in my guild helping me.

Although we have invis, you need to kill the named. I think it is hard to solo him for an necromancer.

Perhaps you could kill them with bombs. :smileywink:

Harclaves is pretty easy as long as you take it slow...only take on one or two groups at once and run away into safe areas if you get mobbed...even with the buff you aren't going to survive THAT many yellow heroics hehe

i was able to do the entry quest at 25 solo , unfortunately i am having some trouble with the arena, can get all the way to the group of 3 yellow cons but they whipe me out i think i may have to wait till i hit 29, as i think the reason is being under powered due to still using my level 13 DD spell , i was hoping i could get the spell from splitpaw but looks like i will still be waiting until 29 , if anyone has any strategies they would like to let me in on, im all ears

not sure how this will work for lower lvls but works for me at 50 on Very Difficult one

when they 3 mobs come i start casting root on dwarf warrior one, as soon as i start casting i hit TAB and switch targets till im on gnome or De and sick pet then i cast rats on the third mob and focus on burning it down fast as i can making sure to refresh Root on the dwarf once one mob dies i focus on the next either by pet helping me kill one or helping the pet kill his depending on who was faster -- then i sick pet on the dwarf and throw a stun on it and dump all i got onto burnign him down -- normaly i can get away with not even getting hit on these 3 this way

I think the color of your root spell is the key here.

If your root cons green it wont stick on the yellow guys, if its orange: it'll stick like a mofo

I have noticed this since i solo ALOT and have a few mage toons. My sorcerer was soloing blue ^^ mobs with its orange root. After that, when the root conned green, green ^^ mobs or even yellow solo mobs were mowing me down like nothing.

You need to do an access Quest to get into Splitpaw? I was thinking of buying the expansion but not if I have to do a big quest to even access an expansion I have to pay for.

you have to do a short zone in order to get to the rest of the content. it's like an hour to do if you are a class that solos well. if you are a chanter or scout, you may need to bring a friend. after that, you can get to all of the content, but it takes like an hour to get there if you dont have invis or use the mentoring trick. you dont have to do that after you do 3 quests (in theory they are all soloable, but 1 is tough to solo for some classes, so you might want to do one of the group ones instead). so if you solo exclusively and are one of the classes that is waiting for the revamp to help your soloing, don't waste your money. if you have a friend or 2 to help, or solo well, then it's kinda fun =). Edit: forgot i was in the Necro forums. i was able to get through the 1st zone as a 20 necro, but the tough one of the 3 solo quests is iffy ... still working on it. and the run down to Splitpaw den takes 15 min cause you DO have invis.

Message Edited by djhbeek on 08-02-2005 02:56 PM
