The lifetap is kind useless if the pet is full health <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I usually ward him and hit him with invis but the 90-100pt dd the proc does keeps agro on the pet better too. <div></div>

yup that 2.. it also replaces the barrage of health that the mob takes right off the bat.

I use Venril on my pet just for the extra damage it does to the mob... never even thought about the lifetap portion, but every little bit helps. Myrdrivar 34 Necro Neriak <div></div>

I know my UA pet stopped leveling <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> so i need some way to keep him alive as my tank for 2 levels!! lol <div></div>

<DIV>I use this tactic too. The extra lifetap is for agro, not so much for healing, so it doesn't matter too much if the pet is full health. Also, when the pet does heal, keep in mind heals are worth their weight in gold for pet keeping agro, versus damage. High hp mobs dont' respond less to damage than other mobs, but relatively more to heals. Meaning when your pet heals, you get to do more damage...by some factor more than the pet healed itself.</DIV>

LOL - great idea. I used to cast it on myself and then stand next to the pet and hope for a barrage or something (what a meathead I am). Your int must be much higher than mine. hee hee

Good idea. I didn't realize I could cast that on my pet. And from your experiences this is good for all fights, or just the hardest ones like pit champ for example?

Just wanted to add how impressed I am with how much this helps pet aggro. I find that I'm able to handle multi-mob splitpaw encounters much easier and can also lay down my bigger DoTs and debuffs earlier in a single mob fight (which equals faster kills and more xp). Thanks again.

The proc shows up in your mantained buffs window yes but it should not come up in the "buffs applied to me" window. <div></div>

The proc shows up in your mantained buffs window yes but it should not come up in the "buffs applied to me" window. It does also apply to the invised properly. <div></div>
