<DIV>Looking for answers to the following questions. Please, if you attempt to give an answer, state your reasoning. For instance, not many of us thought that snares would stack the way they did, but look they do...so please avoid mere speculation without stating your reasoning.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1) Do debuffs lowering resist rates stack cumlatively to lower resists? E.g. if you stack grisly mark and ghastly stench (both lower disease resists) does that have a cumulative effect on lowering resists.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2) Do pet buffs increasing hate generation stack cumulatively? E.g. Words of the wicked and dark briars both have 15% increase in hate generation.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3) Do pet buffs increasing pet dps stack cumulative (not i am not speaking about special procs, only the +5 or +10% dps increases)? E.g. opals, rending frenzy, and grasping bones.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>4) Question on swarm of bats: It decreases spell avoidance by 5 (whatever that is), does this effect chance of pets like the rotting thrall from hitting the mob, since their hits are disease based.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

This is being addressed in the fabled combat revamp. At which point dots will stack however I am not sure how damage will be calculated. I am not sure if they will stack at 100% but we will see with the combat revamp. <div></div>

<P>1) From what I've seen and read the typical rule on stacking (buffs and debuffs) is if there are two or more spells that have overlapping effects then the one with the greatest impact will overwrite the lesser one. That being said, no I don't believe the Disease and Poison debuffs of those spells stacks.</P> <P>2) No. See above.</P> <P>3) No. See above.</P> <P>4) Rotting Thrall's "disease" attack is just a type auto-attack damage like crushing or peircing so no, I don't think you'd see an increase because of lowered Spell Avoidance.</P> <P>The posters who parse and analyze all their fights could probably provide some good numbers to prove or disprove all of that though.</P>

<DIV>I agree that what you have stated is the typical rule and my assumptions are generally the same, but there have also been exceptions to this rule (snare stacking most obviously, and of course some resists lines do stack (so how can we rule out debuffs), and other classes have similar buffs, some of which were intended to stack and others that were not intended to, but do so anyways). So i guess i'm just trying to see if anyone has better approach to answering these questions.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by pyrotechnic on <span class=date_text>07-11-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:23 AM</span>
