<DIV>Alright, I've got a 23 necro who has the fallen hero pet as well as the spellbinder.  I need some strategic help in defeating any group of 4 yellows, even if they con weaker - I still end up dying every time and I'm getting tired.  I try to chain one, (but of course the chain always breaks at some point before any of the others are killed) and then the pet takes one, which leaves 2 beating on me pretty fierce. Then I'm just trying to keep them rooted while the pet takes them out.  The roots only work about 50% of the time.  I end up dying because the chains break before the pet is done, even though I'm trying to throw spells too.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Are there better ways to deal with 4 yellows?   I can never get it so the pet tanks all 4.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please, any strategies would be helpful, before I throw away the character in frustration!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Poet</DIV> <DIV>(aka Luna the Necro)</DIV>

<div></div>Well see if this helps, this is what i do when i try taking down groups of 4: I pull one with my pet and let it get aggro on 3 of them *try and let the pet get 2 or 3 hits in before switching it to another mob, you will get hit a bit while its getting aggro but just be patient and your pet should pull it off of you*, while that's going on im maxing out my dots/nukes on the 4th. After the 4th dies  i stick rats on the one with the lowest health then pull another and max dots out again. When that ones dead ill nuke the one with the rats on it then focus the rest of my power on the last mob. A bit confusing but it seems to work for me. At level 23, this might not work to well with the spell selection, but if i remember i think i was still using this technique in my 20's. You might also want to wait tell 24 so you can use the undying adherent  and see if that works. Also i would try and keep the Area dots for last let the pet build up a littel hate before you start loading them up. Other then that,  the selection of spells pre 30 is really hard to deal with soloing stuff, Anyway's Good luck! <div></div><p>Message Edited by ScarletTears on <span class=date_text>07-09-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:32 PM</span>

Taking on groups of four can be somewhat tough no matter if they are yellow or even lower for that matter.  The reason your root is not holding is because you attack the enemy that is rooted.  Root one enemy first thing and leave it alone.  Then target another enemy and have your pet for that one.  Then the remaining two are up to you.  I would suggest concentrating on one and stun it with petrify and nuke the living hell out of it.  You don't have enought time to fool with slow cast DOT's.  If all goes well one enemy will die as soon as the rooted enemy becomes loose.  I would then target that enemy and put your pet on him.  And then take care of the rest of the enemies.  Personally, I would never go up against 4 yellow mob at my level.  They hit way to hard and I wouldn't even kill one of them.
