View Full Version : Never run out of power
<DIV>I've read a lot of posts saying Necros never run out of power. I've been out of game for 4 months now. I remember playing and staying pretty good on power, but I wouldn't say "I never run out of power". So, I was wondering what you all do to 'never run out of power', any helpful advice would be appreciated. How important is good food in your opinion?</DIV>

Your mana regen spells for sacraficing your pet stack <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> So you can use Essence shift and the specilization and bloody ritual etc. The heals we get roughly counteract the dmg done and only take about 1/5 the mana regend to cast. Thats why we never run out of mana <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

I have both of my 'pet life' to 'my power' spells on a macro so I forget their names, but, as said above, they stack. In standard grouping, when the group gets low on power and there's a lot to kill still, as long as the tank can keep aggro (off of your pet) and the healer can keep the tank alive ... ... drain pet, drain pet ... ... dot, dot, dot, dot, DD ... ... rinse repeat. In raiding, pet positioning becomes more important and HP Regen items help a LOT (due to Lich)! ~ Prismatic + GEBs + Lich + HP Regen item + draining pet = Never out of power. <div></div>

<DIV>In groups, if your pet isn't tanking, you should be able to use all of your pet life-to-mana spells to get mana back. You should be the last one to run out of mana, and you should be able to gain mana back faster than the whole group, for those times when you do get low.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>"never run out of power" is a little overstated, but if the group always runs out of power before you do, and you always have full mana back before they do, it's close...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I use my devour health repeatedly during fight, and always drink malted corn milk. I use manastone once per fight cus of timer. I also have sacrificial heart dragged on my hotbar. I figure out before grping where in my inventory it shows up and I keep that bag open, so I can quickly equip. I never run out of power. I get low, but I never have to wait for regen (well unless its a 54 x4 raid or something). Oh and the drink doesn't really help during the fight but makes for speedy recovery. Gotta drink, its a must.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Vanir (48 Necro)</DIV><p>Message Edited by KaptanX on <span class=date_text>07-12-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:14 PM</span>
