How does it feel?

If you were an EQ1 Necro I have to ask- how does it feel to watch Sorc's do all the twitching?  When I saw the beta spell lists and saw they had this spell I almost died laughing. Nothing was worse than being asked to twitch a wizzie and now- they have it.  I've been laughing every time I've seen a post of multiple sorc's on a raid doing nothing but twitching. I'm sure they all agree now that the spell type is one of the most annoying ever just because of it's social side effects. <div></div>

Hehehhe yeah that was always annoyign to have to twitch the healer .. twitch the wizzie.  Twitch the god [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] freaking pally so he can rez the cleric.  Now they have to twitch me <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  OHh the JOY! <div></div>

<P>In EQ1, the necros got a spell hmmm covetous subversion?  Dunno if there where more in the line, but it exchanged 300 of the necros mana to give 100 mana to another player.  When the spell was cast, if it was cast on someone other than you you would see the text YourNameHere twiches.  Necros were used alot for twitching in raids to give the clerics and whoever mana and were not too happy about being in a raid only to be the twitch b---h</P> <P>Eirgorn</P> <P> </P>

It's wonderful that mana transfer spell is no longer part of a necromancer class. In EQ1, necromancer is one of the top dps casters for long fight blessed with the best mana regen. A high level necromancer can maintain 1200-2000++ damage per tick (6 seconds)  without pet endlessly. With feign dead, necromancer never have to worry about agro (EQ1 feign dead does not remove buffs or pet, it just drops you to the bottom of the agro list). Due to high mana regen (roughly 2x to 3x  of the rest of the casters), guild with less healers started using necromancer as mana battery to keep healers mana up. This makes it the most hated spell for necromancer, as it prevents a necromancer from going all out dps during raid. Most necromancer will leave the guild if he/she is asked to twitch during battle in raid. So don't think necromancer twitching are ever widely used in raid. Most twitching only occurs during wipe recovery or getting a rezzed cleric or chanter to full mana. <div></div>

<P>i played a necro in eq and i remember raiding PoP very well and i twitched almost constantly during raids.  did this bother me? not in the least cause i knew that my mana was going to be used wisely.  occasionally i would dps on the end mobs. ie tz, vz, rz, lmm and the such and yes i could out dps wizzies because of fd but we had more utility than any other class in eq and that is why i loved my necro so much.  name another class that can buff, debuff, feed mana, take mana, heal (albeit none too well) and have the constant dps of a pet.  yes i twitched on raids as did the other 4 necros in our guild and noone complained a bit cause we were happy to HELP the guild in what ever fashion was needed.</P> <P>do you think we will get mana feed in the changes?...i highly doubt it as we have a way to transfer power in our baubles and while most say that they aren't that usefull i have found them usefull on a few occasions with my guardian and i always ask for one if i have a summoner in my group jic.</P>
