Can no longer stack boon of the lifeless and corpseskin. Am lvl 37 so can't verify if higher level pet buffs that use to stack no longer do so. And yes, there was a noticeable difference when you could stack both.

Moorgard posted this is probably a bug.

Found this in the abilities section.

It has been reverted back to original stacking.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The cause was found and stacking will revert to the way it worked before the update.

And yes, this was a piece of the combat revamp that surfaced before it was intended to. Spells that are part of the same reuse group will no longer stack. That affects things like Guardian health buffs that were not intended to stack, thus creating part of the huge tanking gap that currently exists.

Lest you see this upcoming change as only a negative, the code that makes it happen has another purpose as well. The spell guys can make it so a given spell cast by two members of the same class can both stack on the target. For instance, say you have two necros in a group. NecroA casts a DoT on a mob, and NecroB casts the exact same DoT; both land and take effect. If NecroA has a lower-level DoT in the same line, that spell would stack with NecroB's higher-level version.

The combat and spell changes aren't just all positives or all negatives, but rather an overall change to balance. Some perceived nerfs will be necessary to make combat more challenging and entertaining overall.

Another unintended change that snuck into this update (which we are not reverting) is an upgrade to summoner pets: they no longer spawn with a down arrow, thus both their health and autoattack damage have increased. Warrior pets especially will benefit from this change. The temporary downside is that tier upgrades aren't improving the pets right now, but that should be made up for by the more durable pets. The tier upgrades will start working with the new combat rules.

Sorry for the unintended confusion.

===========================
Moorgard
EverQuest II Community Guy

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
