<DIV> <P><SPAN>SoE, I would like to see DoTs last longer; almost all last 24 seconds, even one that last only 12 seconds. This is a huge pain in most battles with all the recasts. It interferes with pet management such as healing and handling adds as well as maintaining steady dps from the necro. I’m not asking for an advantage either, you can bump up the power cost based on the increased length of the DoT.</SPAN></P> <P><SPAN>Maybe I was spoiled playing my EQ I necro, where the DoTs lasted significantly longer. They did have huge power costs, but as a mana/power battery I didn’t care. <DIV>i disagree.  fights last about as long as 1 dot if you're in a good group.  longer dots may be good for raids, but they are a good duration for group play.</DIV>

Actually, I agree with Nibblar on this one.  I'm not asking for 5 minute DoTs, but 1-2 ticks (4-8 seconds) more for most of our DoTs would be good.  And yes, in groups I rarely (if ever) found this to be a huge issue, but on raids it's needed - just a small 1-2 tick bump, that's it. <div></div>

I'd be happy if they just lasted for their listed duration. I'm tired of seeing dots drop at 4-8 seconds  remaining(I haven't played in like 2 weeks due to vacation so *maybe* it's been fixed. But I doubt it).

what is the duration of horrific mark? that seems reasonable duration.. ah maybe a bit to long but, i do believe they need a little added duration to some of the dot's.

That’s why I suggested varying durations, can use the DoT or DoTs based on the group type and mobs that are engaged. Having a variety of our DoTs lasting between 30-90 seconds would be nice, maybe one lasting 2+ minutes.
