Just chose Opal's Aggravating Seal as my level 20 necro training spell. I chose it b/c I love the heal over time of Agitation which is the spell it replaces. I was very annoyed to discover that Opals is a much much worse HOT that Agitation. Agitation app4 heals for 24 every 10 seconds Opals Adept 2 heals for 34 every 50 seconds So over a 2 min fight Agitation heals for 432 points, Opals heals for 68 points Nice upgrade Wish I took the pet instead. sigh

Bah, I took the DoT at lvl 20 and am still using it at lvl 28 - I initially regretted not taking the new pet but got along great without it, and soloing yellows wasnt a huge problem either. You get a cool pet at lvl 20something called Grim Spellbinder, great when you group, that is a good substitute for the fallen hero and can tank when you are solo in a pinch. If you can pick up an Adept 1 version then it really is a nice minion to abuse. Later on in the 20s you get another pet, Undying Adherent, that is a tank type beastie that can hold a bit of aggro, again app 4 or adept 1 versions are well worth picking up.

Good luck adventuring - Pete

I was initially irratated about the 50 sec between heals as well. Other than that, Opals is much better than Agitiation... in all reguards. Plus they stack. So you can cast both and still get the heal from Agitiation every 10 sec. Once you get other Pet buff upgrades, they will replace Agitiation, but you will still always use Opals beacuse of the Proc (damage 10% of the time). I took Opals and don't regret it for an instant... as I will still be using it at 50.

Opals made a massive difference for my pets overall tanking ability.
