<DIV>I'm looking for some input from high end mages who have a + disruption or + subjugation skill. Do they help? Is it noticable? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>High end items that I know have these effects on are the Prismatic Rod and an Ancient Tae Ew Staff from the new froglok isntance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><IMG src="http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-1/922767/taeewstaff.JPG"></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please post back here if you have any theories or parses involving these skills.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was thinking of maybe logging a 3-4 hour exp group using no + dis/subj items and figuring out the average hits of spells like Stench / Siphon life / Skinrot. Then parse another 3-4 hour group using my +7 dis/subj staff and seeing if that raised the average hit significantly ( because +7 is like a level and a half higher, so I should be nuking like a level 51-52&nbsp<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</DIV>

<P>I tried some +spell lines stuff before and my only theory is that they cut down on spell failures and maybe interupts.</P> <P>I would of thought they would of raised nuke/dot/heal/etc. damages but i didnt notice it doing so.</P>

<DIV>They don't raise damage, the damage your stuff does is based off your Sepulture (Sp?) skill.  For example.  I have a wand that gives me +5 to my Sepulture, it basically adds like 4-5 points of damage to all my spells and makes my buffs give better stats.  Not sure if it does anything for my pets... cause technically since 5 points is one lvl it should make my pets lvl 51 but they still cast at 50 =(</DIV>

<P>+skill is just a value to determine things like being hit or hitting.  Every 5 pts is basically one level, soo... if you have 255 of a skill, in essence you are a lvl 51 at that skill.  The reason on raids MTs try to push for over 300 defense, is so they are a lvl 60 tank, thus making a lvl 52 or so mob "grey".  Likewise the + skill works for other classes.  If you are a caster and notice that you are trying to cast a spell on a mob that is lvl 55, odds are you'll be resisted frequently.  However, if say your skill was 275, it would mean that you are also casting that skill type at lvl 55, thus making it an even check.  </P> <P>Guess what I'm trying to say is, if the mob is 275 skill and you're 250 skill you will be resisted a lot.  If you both have 275 skill you will hardly be resisted.  If you have more skill than the monster you are fighting, you should rarely be resisted.  </P> <P>Imo, +skill items are best in game, grats on a very nice item <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<DIV>Not entirely sure about disruption/subjugation increases...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There's a wand that drops in Ant Epic off the Lich that gives +5 Sepultures... Noticed that it bumps up damage on regular spells a bit... No other significant differences.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I still prefer the prismatic.</DIV>

Yeah, the prismatic alone is +25 int and a one-hander <span>:smileytongue:</span> Will be nice when int boosts damage and I can max out at 250+ just self buffed <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span> <div></div>
