<DIV>Just wanted to post this since our forums seems overwelmed with people trying to bring down our class.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When I hit 40 I left my writ grind in EL and ventured into the Feerrott for the first time.  Here I found extream fun killing one arrow down 3 & 4 group leezard men and spiders.  I took some time out to camp the Robe of the Invoker while there and after about 80 hours I got it (yay me) but what I hadn't been really paying any attention to is my lvls, in that period of time killing pretty much anything I could in the RoI primer area I had gained 1.75 levels and hadn't even really noticed it as being as taxing as the writ grinding.  My spells are all Adapt 3 as I like to keep up on that.  Now I am bouncing all over Everfrost at lvl 43 having a blast killing, killing, killing!!  There is so many yellows that are fun to solo here it is nutz and the zone is def. a sight for sore eyes.  A great change of pace.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am having so much fun as a necro in EQ2 at these levels in these new areas I just wanted to let you people know who are doing the EL, Zek grind that there is alot of fun comming your way.  The Necro class is not broke, sure it has some bugs but if you stay up on your spells you will not be complaining and if you are then it is just in your nature to complain and there really isn't any amount of patching that will make you happy other than "GOD MODE".</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyway Necro's = The Win!  Don't get caught up in all the negative posts, every class has it's complainers, they post more than the people who actually play the game and enjoy it because there is nothign to complain about.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Have Fun!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>P.S.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It didn't really take me 80 hours to get 1.75 lvls, I wasn't killing 100% of the time and kinda limited myself to the two spawns that were near by due to the heavy competition for the robe.  That statement was kinda misleading.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Viromage on <span class=date_text>06-02-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:09 AM</span>

<DIV>I am having fun at lvl 44 in permafrost. I find that whenever I get access to a new zone, I can get a few levels in there in no time and it doesn't seem like a grind at all. Its after being in a zone for 4+ levels that I seem to get bored. Right now the biggest thrill is learning how to kite some tough mobs</DIV>

<P>I'm only 34, but I have had a blast playing my necro the entire time.  I am not part of any guild, I don't raid, and I have only grouped 3 times in my short existance.  I can invis and run all over the place completing quests that only higher level toons with groups can complete, and when I add our underwater breathing, I can do even more.</P> <P>Yes, I may have to be a little older to kill some mobs, but that is ok too.  My pet and I still get them dead and I still get the reward.  I have all Adept 1 spells and have used my FH pet till 32, now using my UA pet.  I have my RT Adept 1 pet in the bank just waiting on me.</P> <P>I am in no rush to zoom to 50.  I am enjoying the game completely and glad that I made my necro.  My 34 guardian just sits and collects dust.  I don't need a group, I can go to most any zone and find something to kill.</P> <P>LOVING MY NECRO</P> <P>Electri Caldiva</P>

I started my Necro as an Alt, as I played one as my Alt in eq and enjoyed it very much. Nearing 36 (my Illusionist is 42), I can sense that my Necro has already become my Main. While the progression to 29 was fairly bland in terms of shifting from Summoner to true Necro, playing from 29-35 has been a delight. I know there are more powerful soloing classes, but with the addition of Ghastly Stench and Swarm of Bats, I feel my Necro has really started to shine. I am having fun and am quite satisfied, overall. I know we have issues that will need to be addressed, especially with pets. In the meantime, I am looking forward to earning my Rotting Thrall.
