I'm going ot have to disagree that necro's sucked preKunark. Necro's used to camp fbss area just with pet guarding here and go to bed. Come back every now and then to loot corpses. Necro's always owned eq1 and they only got nerfed farther and farther as the game progressed.

Maybe I remember it wrong, but that's how I recall it.

I loved my necro in EQ1 (he's still there, lvl 66). I didn't start playing until Velious, so I can't comment on pre Kunark. I do remember hearing something about level 49 pets equipped with two fine steel daggers just chewing up well equipped level 50 warriors. I don't know how how true that was, but I would have loved to see it

well if you need to have high dps to have fun on this game ten you choosed the wrong class, go play a wizzie or rogue.

I am a super happy lv 50 necro, with robe of the invoker and effy boots I dont need to care about power regen ,but if sowm how I need more power we got devour health and lich to use so I can focus on other things besides just lookign to have a high size of power on my pool.

We necros on EQ1 were good dps at high end raids but not that spetacular with all the resisted spells and long recast time etc, we were and we are a multi use class ,we can do a bit of very thing.

Right now my desire item is to get that necklace( I forgot the name) that is real cool addign 34 hp regen/tic in combat...add your dot heals and lifetab, put a loot agil items and work to raise hp/ac and woot you can tank mobs ,can ot mobs for fun, can solo group of green/blue com at lv 50 or even tank rasoable well for a while a 2 arrow mob. This is possible cause we dont need to focus too much to have power at high lv since we regen it quickly, we can become a tanking caster and with the incoming expansion I belive we will tank even better and that makes me have fun, help my xp groups to do better, I can err ot a mob, dont worry on overnuking and then dying cuz agr oon 1st hit mob gives on me.. etc etc.

If you like to just press buttons like most wizzies and warlocks do then well that is boring, doing high dps is the important thing in the end but dont tell me chain cast spells non stop, pulling agro some times from ma and not dying or stealing a lot powe from healer class on healing you is not fun .Jesus, I know we need some fixes but if you like nothing about your class atm I dont think you will love it just cuz they will raise our dps a bit on some LU patch. If we were supposed to do more dps on every time of encounter who would make a wizzie or rogue anyways? We are good at certain encounters and the fights we are not we can chain cast to not be too far from dps of wizies or warlocks.Next time your MA pull lots of mobs assist the ma but send pet on other mobs, make your pet help on tankign damage etc, dont act the same way as other purecasters, be versatile, learn how to use your spells and kite/park some add ,this way you will help your group to do better, your raid.

Our zombie form has no animations, unless you somehow cracked the code of the displays. (or it was implimented while I was sleeping today)
