<DIV>Ive looked at the major necro specs and have a question. Would it be safe to assume that taking all of the pet buffing additions is a good route? The pets are very tempting (and I see that the dogs are quite a popular choice) but I feel that they will eventually get replaced, where the buffs are transferrable from pet to pet. This is a very vague generalization (made by a level 10 summoner) and I would just like some insight into the matter. Oh and one other thing. Which pet is the skeleton with green flames! It's the reason I made my necro and I dont wanna pass that up if thats only a spec. pet.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks much.</DIV>
<DIV>"Would it be safe to assume that taking all of the pet buffing additions is a good route?"</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I always took the pet, disease resist, and int options from the +</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>"where the buffs are transferrable from pet to pet"</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>if you talking about spells like agitation and I can't remember the other low level one.. but yes you can use these on any of your pets, not including things like rats and dogs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>"Which pet is the skeleton with green flames! "</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yes, it is a special pet. it's the level 30 Grim terror option that you get from the + that appears. it's either that or dogs and a couple other choices</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>edit: I also understand that the level 48 pet is a skeleton with green flames... but I cannot confirm that since I haven't actually seen it yet with my own eyes. I hardly see any other necros on my server that are that high. hehe I havent' seen a 44+ necro in like 2 weeks. But I know they are there.</DIV> <P>Message Edited by Ponno on <SPAN class=date_text>05-04-2005</SPAN> <SPAN class=time_text>09:08 AM</SPAN></P><p>Message Edited by Ponno on <span class=date_text>05-04-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:09 AM</span>

<DIV>Thanks for all the helpful input. So it seems that going the pet buff line isnt such a bad idea (how many of the trait buffs get obsolete?), and since there is more than one chance to get the green flame pet (It why I quit my SK to be a necro =P) Im considering at 30 to obtain the buff at that level. I read that the level 30 buff does not require conc. but has a 15minute duration which is nice. I was wondering about the dogs, I hear they are popular and was wondering if there was any reason why. Also, are there any traits in particular that any of you find very useful?</DIV>
I think the dogs are popular mainly becuase they ar different.<span>:smileywink:</span> I respeced at 38 just to get them myself after I got the Rotting Thrall. In fact at my /respec I ditched both the trainning pets for opal's seal and the dogs so I can get alittle extra omph out of my Thrall soloing. <div></div>

<DIV>Take the Rotting pack hounds anyway, </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and heres why.. in multiple necro situations on raids.. both of you CANNOT have rats up at the same time.. castin the second set will despawn the first..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>so when i see rats.. i cast dogs.. as they do stack</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>with all the crappy stacking issues of multiple necros, at least 1 option to get around it always nice.</DIV>

The dogs cannot hit raid mobs, however. I have a parse fighting Mjolni where the dogs swung 169 times and missed every one. Unfortunately, rats don't do much better (except for the bloated rat which is the one that comes from adept 3).
