Greetings, A quick question about the spell "Grasping Bones". I recently bought the adept 1 version of this spell in the hope that the duration would increase. However, duration of the spell still is only 7.7 seconds, after a 4 second casting time! So, do any of you out there use this spell on a regular basis, and, is the 10% increase in pet damage noticeable? Cheers for any information, Sassoria <div></div>

Casting time is way out of wack imo .. but i have noticed my pet hits a little harder, not much and its so fast that its hard for me to say that as A FACT .. its just 2 - 3 melee rounds max lol =(

<DIV>The casting time is way too long for it's effect, in my opinion, but I still use it regularly.  I especially use it at the beginning of the fights, while I'm letting my pet generate some hate, or to finish off HOs.  </DIV>

Ah yes, thanks. Shortly after writing this message I logged on and went to Nek castle with two guildmates, a mystic and a fury. There I used it as well, it seemed to be incredibly useful to draw aggro to my pet (in the lack of another tank) Still, duration should be spiked up, or the casting time lowered. I am thinking of either 2 secs casting time, same duration or 4 seconds casting time and duration of about 16 - 24 seconds. Good journeys! Sassoria <div></div>

16-24 secs would be WAY too overpowerful but a shorter cast time would make sense.  I used this when kiting ^^ mobs before pet commands were fixed to "heal, heal, stun mob, heal, stack DoT, nuke" and attempt to keep my pet alive or to get aggro back on me.

This seems to be an issue with conjurer stuns as well, though theres does dmg and stun whereas ours gives our pet a little more dmg for a period of time.  Anyway, it seems like the higher the level of the stun..the shorter the duration.  Which doesn't really make sense. I'd atleast see this as an "Oh no, get it off me!" spell.  I don't like the idea of standing there and taking a beating for FOUR seconds just to stun it for 7.7 seconds.

Since this is the upgrade to the spell Petrify, which has a one second cast time, Grasping bones should also have a one second cast time.

I agree casting time should be reduced. I usually use this when fighting multiple mobs while I am soloing. I use terror to get the extra mob to run, then before that runs out I start casting grasping bones or now convulse, this gives me that few extra seconds to finish off the original mob.
