Ad3 Thulian vs. Ad2 Corruptor

<DIV>Most people know already that the Corruptor is superior to the Thulian, but I blew a T4 rare last night just to test it out for kicks.  I'll have parses to show it sometime tomorrow (I hope).  But basically, the L30 training pet way outdamages the Ad3 Thulian pet...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It looks like, from mobs that I was testing it on, the Thulian averaged higher standard DD damage... 130-145 to the corruptors 110-125... However, the corruptor occasionally casts a special DD attack that does 210-230 damage which seems to refresh on a different timer than the regular DD attack... so just one use of it per fight (which it always casts at least once) will almost always put the corruptors DPS higher per fight.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I will post a parse table after this once I get a chance to fully test it out later tonight (if I get a chance).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ultimately I think it was a waste of rare ink, but still, my nagging curiousity is sated now.  Guess I'll be kicking myself at 38 when I get RT if I don't have another woad ink by then.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Necronstreksis on <span class=date_text>01-26-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:47 AM</span>

He also MUCH more frequently knocks back and specials mobs now that he/my skill has matured.  At 29-30 I could almost never solo a ^^green scarecrow in TS.  My UA couldn't handle the mob and I would invaiably end up chain healing him.  But tonight, outside Nek Castle my UA soloed a demented watcher ^^green.  I cast grasping bones, withering affliction, and boon, my UA did the rest and never really lost down to half health.  Parsing the logs shows that he did 2028 pts/dmg in a minute 22 seconds.  He also had 4 distinct special attacks.  I just don't remember him being that beefy 4-5 levels ago.<BR></P>

<DIV>The adept 3 rotting thrall easily out damages the lvl 30 training pet.  I chose the hounds at lvl 30 and cast them to start off a big fight.  They add and extra 80-120 damage per tick.  My adept 3 UA still can tank like a beast, I think its a waste to pick the corruptor at lvl 30 since we have so many other pets around that level.</DIV>
