Are Necromancer any Good

<DIV>I am thinking of starting a Necromancer and have been asking other Necromancers weither they are any good (Necro's) solo and in groups and am being told they are not good soloers at higher levels or are invited in groups much. So is it worth playing a Necro or has sone screwed up the Necromancers so bad they are not.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
