I'm not a necro (warlock here) but my friend is and we group together all the time. When we go out and hunt with our other friend who's a wizard and we use the necro pet as we would a tank, meaning me and the wizard throw our buffs on it before it fights (procs poison dmg, procs fire dmg, etc). I always assumed there was no problem with this, but then I asked my friend if any of these buffs were showing up on pet control panel (or whatever you call it), and he said no. This lead me to wonder... do non pet buffs work on pets? Are we wasting our time re buffing his pet? If offensive buffs work then do defensive, non-group buffs also work? Any answers would help a ton since we often just head out with the 3 of us and don't bother forming a full group with a tank and healer. (btw, we actually do pretty well, the pet tanks well enough for mine and the wiz's big nukes to do their jobs. We can actually take out yellow++ regularly).
Message Edited by Kain3 on 01-15-2005 08:36 AM

There is no "maintained spells" list for pets so your necro friend wouldn't have any visual indication but buffs and runes do land on pets and do give him their traits or abilities.
