<DIV>Choice of Master 2:  Fireshield, Shards of Ice, Fire Seed, Aqueous Stalkers (Lvl 24)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Which spell is for Soloing and Which is better for Groups?    I am  a Sage so all my skills are Adept 3 -- my only advantage so far in combat :smileyvery-happy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I use Shards of Ice constantly as its my main icon on the HO wheel.  I would choose Shards of Ice, but I wanted some input from more experienced Conjs.    Does Fireshield or Fire Seed work with the Igneous Apprentice?  I haven't played much with that Pet spell.  I just got my Tellurian Soldier  . . . (I think I'm in love with him)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

First, Fireshield and Fireseed, don't take either as your M2 choice. Both will work on your Igneous Apprentice but they are beter off used elsewhere. Fireshield procs when the target it is cast on gets hit, you don't want your Mage Pet getting hit. Use Possess minion to check, but the Igneous Apprentice probably has less health points than you do. If you are going to solo while using the mage pet (which I did some for the easier content when I was your level) cast Fireshield on yourself and you do the tanking (don't forget to use your root and stun).Fireseed procs on melee attacks. Your Igneous Apprentice will cast from a distance until it has nothing left to do but wait for the spell timers to refresh, then it will run in and melee. Not a good use of Fireseed unless you are soloing, then cast Fireseed on it and yourself since you have the concentration spots for it. In groups I most often cast Fireseed (or it's upgrades) on the tank and on the hardest hitting meleer in the group, preditor, rogue, or brawler usually. When you get your Scout Pet at 32 I would cast Fireseed on it in groups if the pet is higher level than the other first choice meleer targetsI don't think Shards of Ice would be a bad choice for M2, it does get used a lot, but at that level I took Aqueous Stalkers. Swarm pets will be a staple of your play now that you have your first one. I just dinged 64 and the M2 choices are very similar: Pyreshield, the upgrade to Fireshield; Deluge, the upgrade to Shards of Ice; Pyromancy, the upgrade to the second swarm pet, one you don't have yet; plus Expiation, from a spell line you don't have yet. I chose the swarm pet Pyromancy for M2 but it was a toss-up between that and Deluge, both are important spell lines for conjurors.<div></div>

<P>eXcellent advice Daghammerskold! :smileywink:</P> <P>I  attacked gnolls in Antonica and used Aqueous Stalkers as back up.  I didn't think I could use my Tellurian Soldier and the Aqueous Stalkers at the same time, but it worked out perfectly.    </P> <P>These little guys support my Tellurian Soldier and save my life.   I am going to go with Aqueous Stalkers Master 2.  I was wondering what I could do to support my pet.  Much obliged. :smileyvery-happy:</P> <P> </P>

It's always a big question for the master 2 choices.  The easiest pick is to take either the swarm pet or the stance.  Swarm pets you're going to use alot of and the stances are fantastic.

<DIV>And if you are going stance, start getting the M2 offensive stance with lvl 54.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There are about 4 Pyromancy Masters up for 4 plat on my server - Deluge is like 16 plat. I'm actually going to M2 that and just buy one of the Pyro M1's.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But anyway, stalkers is the only choice at lvl 24, it's not close.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
