<DIV>Hi all,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On raids, most of the group park their god pets inside the zone entrance so that they gain the buff but the pet doesn't die in combat.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>No matter how I cast it, I cannot get my god pet to stay and then be able to control my main pet as I'd wish.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone know how to do this ? or have any suggestions ?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lodlaen.</DIV>

<DIV>If you cast the God pet first and tell it to stay, you can cast your pet and have it following you... but any buffs you cast go to the God pet... and as far as I know, the God pet will move when you tell your pet to attack :smileyindifferent: And if you cast the God pet last.. you can't tell it to stay without your main pet staying... and then the God pet comes when you make your pet attack :smileyindifferent: We're fairly screwed in that department at the moment, hehe.</DIV>

<DIV>All pet classes should bug report this and petition this that may get it fixed. I think it would be a simple fix that should come in the next update. It does not seem like anyone cares but if all players get this and its broke for one type and works well for others lets see if we can make them fix it. Trying to be nice here and not bad mouth SOE as I don't have many problems but I have this one and would like it fixed. This is not just crying about my class or the normal can't kill grey mobs or solo red ones or that class kills better or heals better pvp's better crap you read on these forums. This is a problem please fix it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Riz</DIV>

<DIV>The fix we'll probably see is a fix that requires the pet to be close to the caster in order to get the benefits, so no classes will be able to park their pets at a zone entrance and still get the buffs. In my opinion, though, that's the way to go. I DO however agree that we seriously need a seperate pet window or some other way of controlling secondary pets like these.</DIV><p>Message Edited by IrishWonder on <span class=date_text>12-04-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:45 AM</span>

This means that the pet will not stay close to you, but rush in and get hit by AE. At least that is wat it looked like from my limited experience. I no longer keep the pet up. So, yes I also agree that the pet should be with its master for the effects (given that they can fix it so that a pet isn't a zone away when you are running). But there should then also be a way to protect it at least to some degree.<BR>

<DIV>Make it a buff instead of a pet...? Then they wouldn't have to worry about second pets..</DIV>

<div><blockquote><hr>Ankle Biter wrote:<div>Make it a buff instead of a pet...? Then they wouldn't have to worry about second pets..</div><hr></blockquote>That's the only real solution. The pets were fun at the beginning, but now they're just annoying, and even more so for pet classes :/</div>

what we need are multiple pet windows and for non combat pets to not be able to be buffed with combat pet buffs, also need to make it so the god pets are not killed by OUR aoe attacks and don't get killed by the animist's transference heal...<div></div>

I'd like the God pet to work like the EQ1 wizard familiar... cast flappy, kill it, and the buffs remain up. Then cast the main pet. More pets = more lag.

Create a very paper pet that will die very easily to the smallest AE, making the buff mean somewhat less. I could be wrong, though.<BR>

I'd rather see it done as a buff and not a pet. </DIV>

Another work around that only works if your main pet never dies. Cast main pet, cast imp, tell it to stay then call of servant your pet around every once in a while. Once you main pet dies though you would have to recast both to do it again or you end up calling your imp.
