My wife just started a Conjour and I have been having trouble finding a class that I haven't played before (70 Pall, 54 Warden, 34 Monk) to dou with her. We play as a dou 80% of the time. I have thought of playing a second Conjour but am worried about targeting issues and also pet hate loss. Playing two cloth wearers if we get hate we would go down faster than two nuns at a rigged bingo game.

Any feed back would be appreciated.

Erieg

A Conjuror + Conjuror duo is one of the most powerful duos in the game. You'll EASILY be able to take on multi-mob encounters like there's no tomorrow. Just have each of you target a different mob, root at the same time, and send your pets on the remaining mobs.

The gf and I were gonna start up a conj/wiz duo. We usually do tank/healer combos, with me being the tank; and I do enjoy my conjuror alt (still in low 20s, but fun so far). I was gonna play the conjy and her the wizzy. Anyone have good luck with this combo?

Will a conjurer with a mage/scout pet do comparable damage as a wizard?
If so, maybe I can talk her into that idea, not sure how she feels bout pet classes though...

Sorry if I derailed the OPs thread, I was always curious about the conj/wiz duo...

Conjie/Conjie is a good duo. Don't really need a healer beacause the conjies can heal pets. I have also seen the Conjie/Coercer combo go a long way as one of the mobs can be charmed/mezzed/posessed.

I guess im used to breezin thru ^^^ with a warden... maybe 2 conjurors can as well, never tried it, but I dont want to since I got a healer in my life. Since there is a healer though, nothing ever goes belly up. Remember druids get some dps of their own.

Any other combination and it pretty much turns into Kill the mob before they Kill you and don't bother trying to kill something you couldn't kill by yourself any which way.

Thanks for the replies. Since I already have a warden and mentoring my wife for 50 levels does't hold much appeal to me I was wondering about a Fury. They have good damage and the INT buffs would help as well. The Pally/Wizard dou that we leveled to 70 has to be on of the best dou's in the game and I should just come to terms that what ever I pick it is going to have more challenges. I will try another Conjouer and see what it is like and roll a Fury if it fails.

Sean

Just an FYI Sean, me and the gf rolled a couple conjy's last night, and although we only played them until level 8 or 9 so far (we dont get much time to play) I must say its a blast so far, and I know its only going to get better. Nothing like each of us pulling 2 seperate blue encounters (4 total) and getting insane xp! Hope you have as much fun as we are having. Gonna be interesting mid 20s when we get the level 20 mage pet, and the level 24 tank pet! Gonna be good times. It's like having a group of 4 all the time, and since we usually only duo, we need all the help we can get Good luck.

I'm glad you're enjoying your Conjurer duo. I play both a Conjurer and a Wizard and I truly believe that if you have an Adept3 or Master1 pet you can definitely outdamage a Wizard if you also nuke well (especially if you can use your AoEs).

This is mostly because of your superior aggro management (splitting hate with your pet). Wizards simply don't have the tools to go full out without dying unless they have a VERY good tank and some hate transfers working for them. If they did, they would have a higher damage output because their spells are very power on paper.

I find that my Conjurer's Mage or Scout pet can put out a significant amount of damage even when I'm stunned or stifled without drawing aggro. You just have to wait a few seconds to start in with your pet or the tank will have to work hard to hold aggro since those pets can really lay some smack down.

I started a Conjuor last night as well. I have to admit that besides the fact that our dots and buffs do not stack I had a great time. I made it from 1 to 13 in a few hours. The AA that lets you directly control the pet is frigging great. I was actually able to body pull. I have no idea how this will play out in the long run but right now with my wife are splitting duties (she casts sleet and I cast greater burn) and cordinated use of HOs we were taking mobs down so fast it was amazing.

Thanks again for the replies and have a great Holiday,

Sean

My hubby and I duoed a Conjuror and Fury to lvl 70.

It was a blast we could pretty much take down anything. I would normally let hubby tank (fury) and would sick my scout pet on the mob in offensive stance. Fury gets good dps and can take the hits if they are specced that way. And if he ever lost aggro my scout pet could take a few hits before he needed a heal and I usually had a heal otw as did my hubby.

Off topic slightly...

Our newest duo is a Warden (me) and a Wizard (hubby). Fantastic duo capability so far, we are just hitting our mid 20s. DPS is great and we can both root and I can snare too so we rarely get hit.

Interesting idea, and you say it works. I guess I always thought about having the Tank pet out and the Fury and Conjurer just AEing. And I will also recommend the Conjurer Conjurer duo. I use to two box conjurers, then moved up to three boxing them. They are probably the fastest levelers Ive run, as you can easily drop groups with three conjurers AEing and two Mage Pets AEing with one tank pet. Two boxing I normally just used two tank pets, as with both out they could hold aggro very well. Sometime three boxing Ill still go with three tank pets on tough mobs, especially singles.

my fiance plays a fury and i (of course) am a conj. we've yet to run into any non-epic fight anywhere that we can't win. every once in a while we die, but it's rare. we haven't hit mistmore castle yet, i think that might be the only zone where you'd need a real tank, but i have no doubt we could kill in there if we wanted, it'd just be kinda slow. hehe.

I see a couple of conjuror duo suggestions...how would a necro/conj duo rate against a conj/conj? I would think that with different buffs and different dot's it would work out slightly better?
Message Edited by Noruh on 11-28-2006 11:21 AM

Go with the Conj/Necro IMO may be one of the best duos. Both can heal pets, Necro can heal both themselves and Conj. Can use heart and essence. Spells stack nicely. If things get Too bad conjur can sacrifice pet, while necro pet tries to keep aggro and with Fury?? does a good job. AND if things get bad enough for a possible wipe, Necro feign dead and rez conjur. Together they hold both utility and dps..
