I've been hearing about this in the forums and wasn't sure what it was.  Couldn't find it, in any of my listings.  Did a little search, and now I realize that its the mage spell from Splitpaw.  Let me guess its on a different timer and would help my dps.  /sigh  Is there any way at all to get this spell without having to get the splitpaw saga?  Of course my conjuror main is not on the same account as my original one and as such i'd have to pay 8 dollars and do the quests just to get one stupid spell. So what I am asking I guess, is whether there is another way to get this spell and is it worth paying for the expansion just to get it?<div></div>

<DIV>Last time I did cast the spell it was on the same timer like Snapping at least. Furthermore, Snapping in upgraded form is better than Word of Force now. Not sure if this will change with the EoF adjustments though.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>To get this spell you'll have to get the Splitpaw adventure pack and gain the trust of the gnolls (aka complete three quests for the gnolls there). After that you're able to buy the spell from a merchant there. It cannot be traded.</DIV>

Word of Force is a really good spell at certain points while you level up, but once you get to L70, the Class nuke is almost always better.<div></div>

<DIV>Doing the math, I'd have to look it up, and I can't get in game atm to look it up.  Basically, they are on the same timer, and 10 casts of Snapping is guarnteed to be higher DPS than WoF, even at the lowest dmgpoint of Snapping, and highest of WoF.</DIV>

I will check when I am at home.

Snaping mandables does do a little more damage in one shot than word of force but word of force has a 10% chance to proc twice if I'm rembering correctly so it has the ability to do a good amount more damage than snaping does. I use word of force when I'm grouping / soloing and ad3 snapping when I am raiding because word of force has more of a chance of being resisted.

Thats weird I might have to stop using snapping lol. I only say it would get resisted more becasue if you examine the spell it says its resistability is like 23% (not sure I"m at work right now and cant check) and snapping at ad3 is like 33% less likely to be resisted.

well i think in any type of raid   all the debuffs on the mob negates any resist factor for most spells.

Ever since I got Snapping Mandibles Master 1, I removed Word of Force from my spellbar. If you do the math, at least in my case (70 Conjuror w/ 454 INT), you'll see what I mean:Snapping Mandibles Master 1:40% Harder to Resist546-738 magic damage79 manaAverage Damage/cast: 642Average Damage/mana: 8.127Word of Force:19% Harder to Resist430-581 damage, with 10% chance to deal an additional 430-581 damage (Overall Average, 473-639 damage)96 manaAverage Damage/cast: 556Average Damage/mana: 5.792So, it's a no brainer.
