View Full Version : Hate issues since LU24, or Master I Tellurian Champion broken?

Hi,Two things happened here last week:1-I upgraded my Tellurian Champion pet to Master I2- LU24 landedSince then, my pet regularily loses aggro with me barely casting any spells at the mob.  I send the earth pet at a group of mobs (with defensive stance, and either Elemental Vestment or Blazing Avatar on it), switch to a second mob and cast Pyromancy, and occasionally one, sometimes even two of the grouped mobs will turn and charge at me.  Switching my tank to it hoping to peel it off me, and not casting any attack spell at all...  Can take a good 20-30 secs for my tank pet to regain aggro (assuming I survive that long).Theories here range from LU24 breaking something related to hate/aggro (pet taunt not working as intended or being reduced in efficiency), conjuror spells causing even more hate than before (but then, I barely had time to cast more than one or two spells by then), dumfire pets causing hate to be transfered to the caster...Any idea?<div></div>

<P>I haven't noticed any hate issues with my earth pet - I have the Master I with Adept III defensive stance.  I can pretty well let loose with AE's without much problem.</P> <P>What I have noticed is that my mage pet seems to generate an awful lot of hate now.  Even after upgrading from rank 4 to rank 8 on my Magic Leash, he seems to turn mobs to him quite often now.  Maybe the quicker cast/recast buff on Arcane Minion is more than offsetting it...</P>

This is my strategy now...Send pet on first grouped creature plus aqueousSend pyromancy on second traget and send pet just before pyromancy hitleave it like this for 2-3 secondSend fiery annihiliation on 3rd target plus petBlast...I do not have any aggro problem since then<div></div>

i just recently got tellurian champion, at adept III, and so far i'm very very dissapointed.  when grouped with a ranger and a mystic, my pet, even after visably taunting a few times, will lose aggro even on the first cast from the mystic.  I was forced to use the scout pet and rely more on the mystic wards just so that we could run around without getting pounded on every time we casted.

Obviously, when my tank pet is used as 'low cost' tank in groups, a DPS class shouldn't go full out. I didn't lose aggro to a healer yet, even when fighting two encounters. I was playing in the new solo  instanced zones at the monk tower, with the terracota monks. on several pulls The mob would start to head for me as soon as my pet  engaged. Thats just sending pet in no spells cast, pet would get to mob engage and mob would move towards me. Don't remember that happening before. Maybe they changed how the tank pet taunts.  <div></div>
