Greetings all,

Since I haven't seen a single compiled source of screenshots for the inevitable before/after, I figured I'd post some 70 Conjuror screenies from test as well as live. Background info: Both conjurors, at the time screenies were taken, had NO buffs on. Additionally, since my live conjuror is only 58, I did some equipment rearranging, and made each conjuror have 250 INT. Also, this is my first endeavour at screenies, so deal :smileytongue: This is the best I could do... so here goes:

Test Shot 1:

Live Shot 1:

Test Shot 2:

Live Shot 2:

Test Shot 3:

Live Shot 3:

Next post -> Test Earth, Air, and Fire pets and skills (Level 70), Live Earth, Air, and Fire pets and skills (Level 5... I know, I know, its not the same, but if a live 70 Conjuror could post their adept 3's, that would be better... this is simply to give everyone a better idea.

-Kataran Planewalker

Guardians of the Realm

Test Earth (70):

Live Earth (5:

Test Fire (70):

Live Fire (5:

Test Air (70):

Live Air (5:

Ok, let me reiterate ONE MORE TIME... these are different tiers of pets, different levels. It DOES give you an idea of whats to come, however, with DPS mod changes, and if a live 70 Conjuror could post, that would be great!

Hope this helps,

-Kataran Planewalker

Guardians of the Realm

as a conjuror main, i do overal agree we needed weakening slightly, but comments like that do not help a situationor discussion, Condar went to a lot of effort to get this data to us so we can discuss it like adults.

Thank you Condar, i will have a proper look and comment later when I have more time.

And to the trolls we all know what you think and are gonna say so save your time. Can we keep this a nice sensible thread.

You made both conjurors have 250 int to try to accoutn for level difference but that actually causes the damage numbers to be mro einnacurate. With the way stat caps are workign right now it is a fraction of your max cap rather then the int providing a bonus properly. For example at 58 your int cap is 426, with 250 int that means you get 250/426 of the max possible damage, which is roughly 58%. At 70 your max int is 510, meanign with 250 int you have 250/510= 49% of max damage so even on the same spell your 58 would have a higher dmage listed.

in order to get acurate results if your 58 has 250 int your 70 would have to have 299 int. Since the 299 is a rounded number you may still see a 1 point difference in some areas.

Keeping this mind your screenshots are still helpfull to get close approximations.

Is that 10% DPS mod on the 70 test Air pet an Innate effect (Like the 33% currently on live) or is it a result of something else? Just curious to see if after removing the 33% DPS mod they bumped it up a tad to 10%..

Thanks

I just wanted to start off by first saying thank you to those that appreciated my efforts. I'd also like to thank Worrick for pointing out my (unknown to me) error! I apologize for this. I tried adjusting my 58 Conjuror to 208 Intelligence to be equal to that of the 70 Conjuror (49% of the cap at 58 = 20, but I discovered a new problem: Any spell that is examined in 'book' form (i.e. not scribed, just linked) displays the same numbers for me, no matter what my Intelligence score. Taking off all my gear, I got the same numbers for Snapping Mandibles as I did fully buffed. So I'll try 'linking' spells on Test, and see how that works. Again, my apologies.

Also, to Trook, the 10% is an innate effect like live; no buffs or anything else were placed on the pet. I guess they gave us back part of our aery goodness!

-Kataran Planewalker

Guardians of the Realm

That is in the notes as well, spells will show their proper dmg amounts no matter the level of the person.I'll look it up and link it.*** User Interface ***- In the spell effects window, non-beneficial spells will now be displayed before beneficial ones. This will allow you to quickly tell what negative effects you have on you by glancing at the first few icons in your effects bar.- There is a new macro replacement:%c. This will be replaced with the name of the Icon your mouse is over. This will work on things like Effects, Maintained Effects, Inventory, Equipment, Macros, Hotkeys, Spells, Target Effects, and Implied Target Effects. Examples of usage:* MACRO: /group I have (( %C )) please cure me!* MACRO: /group %t has (( %C )) please cure %o!- When you are offered a quest with a full quest journal, you will no longer get a dialog box indicating that. Instead, you will get the quest offer window, but the accept button will gray-out until you have deleted a quest.- Items with a castable ability or ability when equipped will now show applicable durations in the examine info.- Items that you cannot use due to level or skill will now show the proper values for their effects.- There is now a "Mute All on Minimize" checkbox in the Sound tab of the Options menu.- There are now options to "Show Third Party Damage" and "Combat Bubbles" in the User Interface tab of the Options menu.- Lockout Timers window will now correctly sort by Time Left.- The maintained spell and effect windows will no longer scroll with the mousewheel, potentially moving your spell off the visible space. Thanks, Actfive
Message Edited by DobyMT on 06-01-2006 04:45 PM

Message Edited by DobyMT on 06-01-2006 04:47 PM

Yes, the int was reduced on our offensive stance, but it won't break the pet. Heck, even air who received the biggest nerfs is far from broken and anyone who went full air AA will still have the benefits of those abilities.

I wish I could get a big flashing neon sticky saying IF YOUR FREAKING OUT ABOUT THE CHANGES, TEST THEM YOURSELF WHILE YOU CAN!!! I can't believe how many people are posting garbage like "we're broken!" "The game is ending and being destroyed!" when they could simply log onto test and be beta-buffed before making asumptions.

The sky is not falling. We are not broken. The game is fine. We are fine. I know, because I've tested it. Have you? (<- directed to EVERYONE, not you Reiano :smileyhappy: ).

Yeah, I have tested it...on test with my beta buffed 70 conjuror. And we aren't "broken" but we have been significantly crippled. Irregardless, Conjuror is still a fun class, and the funnest imo, so that'll be what I maintain, unless I roll a monk, cause those [Removed for Content] are fun too.

right now as far as I can see the mage pet is the best choice to invest aa points in. I didnt even waste a plat on my adept 3 scout pet cause I didnt know how bad he was to be crippled.

Hey all,

Just an update: Spells come up the same now, as pointed out by Doby (thanks!). So basically, I'm assuming the numbers really aren't that far off, but if someone wants to check for themselves, feel free

Also, just from what I saw myself playing around for a bit, I honestly did not feel that different soloing. I tried with both my earth and air pets on the standard fare or greens and blues, as well as a few heroics. Granted, battles lasted a little longer with the air pet, and seemed to last even a little longer with the earth, but nothing to really complain about. I think the worst part is going to be waiting the extra 15 seconds for aqeuous swarm to come back up.

In the end though, I think any competent Conjuror who knows the class and the "tricks of the trade" so to speak will discover their class is just as powerful and viable, and will be able to adapt and take down the same enemies they are right now... albeit just a tad slower

-Kataran Planewalker, Guardians of the Realm

Note: Would someone please explain how to turn off the automatic double space for paragaphs this stupid thing does every third post? lol

Yeah, I serisouly think that these changes are going to keep the whiners about "overpowered" summoner types. As far as groups, I think we will remain relatively similar, soloing I think is taking a bit longer, but I think that this change really hit raiders hard....but I think that we will find a niche Trying to put a good face on about this since it seems that everyone and their uncle's brother was wanting this to happen to us

couldnt see a screenie for EV or Frigid. Would also be interested in seeing what they are "correcting" about Bond, seeing as its currently burning the correct amout of mana listed in the AA.

I have to say, nothing i see has me all that worried. Main corcern is lower dps from all classes by the looks of it. and against the highly creative 2mil hp+ bash and slash epics atm this is gonna make for super fun time raids

Message Edited by de lorian on 06-02-2006 11:24 PM

Message Edited by de lorian on 06-02-2006 11:32 PM

He will still be a great source of DPS. It just depends on the situation you will be in most often.
Every post I've seen so far from people who have actually tested the changes has said they aren't too bad at all, so I'm not surprised to hear this again. The worst thing I see in test up to now is on my isle-of-refuge monk, where the fighter type mobs can actually taunt me off the priest type I usually attack first. Our raid MT also reported it happenning to him, where his target suddently switched to the fighter types. Something to check.
