<div></div><div></div><div>As of not so recently my play time has been all but destroyed... Life, ya know?</div><div> </div><div>So now I can only play... well I don't even know I get on when ever I can</div><div>Consequently I was thinking I would like a class that could be moslty a solo class... I have a healer but now that I don't play that often it is tough to get grps or even keep long term friends. I am not anti-social or anything, actually it is the contrary but after playing a year I find that what little time I do have to play is spent finding new friends and groups and learning about changes because I have not been on in a while. I really like this game so I am thinking "maybe a more solo oriented class will be better suited to my situation". From what I read it looks like necros and Conjurs are very fun class that are solo oriented. Although I am sure they are very good at grouping too. I have also read about other good solo choice classes in the fighters section but (and totaly no offense intended to fighters) the fighting seems sorta redundant. I could be wrong... if i am, say so. </div><div> </div><div>oh yeah enough rambling. I was looking at conjurs because it looks like thery are a good solo class that takes strategy. But from reading posts it looks as if they are overplayed? If they are should I not make one? Not to start rumors because I know they suck (rumors that is) but I saw a post that said they expect conjurs to be nerfed soon... at my low level would I even notice? If conjurs are overplayed should I make a necro? I like quenos more though... but it does not mattter THAT much i guess. I would play my conjurer well and reserch how to play it like I do all my chars... I hope that if i could handle a druid in many very heated battles with out hardly any loses I could hadle a conjuror. Just want some input if you please.</div><div> </div><div>also if you have suggestions of other classes that my might do well in my situation then please do tell.</div><div> </div><div>thanks alot!</div><p>Message Edited by Epsilondragon on <span class="date_text">03-25-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:34 PM</span></p><p>Message Edited by Epsilondragon on <span class="date_text">03-25-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:37 PM</span></p>
Who cares if a class is overplayed? If you're going to be soloing a lot, it won't matter one bit.As for the nerf, it'll just be to bring us more in line with where we're supposed to be - you won't find yourself unable to solo one day.<div></div>

Depends on what you wanna solo.If you wanna solo heroics and nameds without effort take a Wizard. Just put 2 roots on it and nuke em down. With conjurors that takes alot more effort though. For solo'ing regular solo mobs i'd take a conjurer anytime though. It's alot of fun sofar up till lvl 27, fooling around with the pets.<div></div>

<div></div><p>Well what can I add. You read that conjurros are going to be nerfed, you read that in past they were nerfed several times. Did that stopped us to play our conjurors? Noooo.</p><p>But if you read ranger forums you will read the same, they had been nerfed several times, and I beat if you go to other classes forums you will read the same complains. So what ever class you choose you will find always the same roumours and complains.</p><p>I never read posts about nerfed and if a Live update did something to the conjuros I didnt like it I complain to my screen but I live with it and I tried to learn new tactics. At the end is only a game to have fun.</p>

<div></div>My conjuror is only lvl 23 atm, but I have to say, its the most fun Ive ever had playing EQ2. Ive played since January of 05, with my main as an Assassin, and I never was much into alts. I would play them until they left the island, and then just delete them because they werent fun anymore, but with the Conj, its different. Such a change from Assassin with being able to solo. At lvl 23 I can solo almost anything thats not ^^^ within my levels. 20^^ mobs are pretty easy, throw in a 19^ with that, and its more challenging, but alot of fun. As far as being overplayed, who cares? If you solo alot, its not gonna matter much, and when you want a group, no group leader says "Oh, that class is overplayed, I dont want them". About the nerfs though, it doesnt matter what class you play, you cant evade the nerf bat forever. Every class that excells greatly will be nerfed, its inevitable. You just gotta figure out what they took away, try new tactics, and change your play style, which is all a good challenge and alot of fun. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Nezzrek on <span class="date_text">03-26-2006</span><span class="time_text">10:08 AM</span></p>

<div></div><p>I have a 62 Conj and recently started a new Necro (currently level 21) for fun.</p><p>I've enjoyed every moment of the Conjurer, both in groups and solo. They are extremely versatile and can survive most situations with unwanted adds thanks to their roots / stuns / just leaving the pet to tank and running as fast as possible in the opposite direction. They seem a perfect solo class to me.</p><p>The Necro has been harder to play for me. I'm used to Quenos but I didn't seem to find the first 20 levels as easy in Freeport as I have for my various Alts in Quenos - I din't find nice quests to give me free armour but did get a nice staff and book at low level. It's still great fun banging all of the DOTs onto a target and seeing them go down.</p><p>The big disadvantage is that both are popular and that means that there are few Adept1's for sale compared to some classes. You will need to spend some money on Adept3's for both or put up with Apprentice scrolls. As my Conjurer was my first character I just made him a Sage and made my own spells which made me quite a bit of cash. Harvesting for rares isn't so bad / boring when you need them for yourself and it's a good source of XP as you clear mobs off the nodes.</p><p>As for upcoming nerfs.. why worry? It's a fluid game and changes can be made to any and all classes in the future. Just enjoy the experience!</p>

<div></div><div>Hey guys thanks alot for your posts they are very reasuring and have great things to say!</div><div>I have already started my new conjuror and he is really fun which is what you guys are saying and is what this game is about. </div><div>Hmm .... Is there a conjuror oath or somthing? "Raises right hand: I solemnly swear.... not to be a jerk..."</div><div>Thats it... too bad I will get to play like never in the next few months... stupid AP tests.... who cares about school anyways</div><div>I would be perfectly happy being a homless guy with an alienware computer and everquest. Hehe although I could probably sell the house and have almost enough for one.</div><div> </div><div>well thanks alot guys... internet people are cool</div>
