<div></div><div>Can someone please clarify which of the higher level conj spells break mez? I know some say the swarm pets and other non-AOE spells will break mez. Can anybody please help clarify that?</div><div> </div><div>Thanks!</div>

Anything that deals one damage or more breaks mez.
If you don't use AE, and don't use the fire swarm pet, you will not break mez except on the mob you are targetting.<div></div>

<div></div>Dont the mez spells stop AOE from affecting the mezzed targets though? I was under this impression.
But if we drop Shattered Ground, and THEN a mob is mezzed, it will break.<div></div>

<div></div><div></div>The Seism/Quake line is really the only spell line you need to really be careful with. Everything else we use are encounter-only AEs, which shouldn't really affect mezzing in most situations (usually a mez is on an out-of-encounter mob/group add). Just be aware of what your enchanter is doing, many will call out the mezzed mob.<p>Message Edited by Blitzrain on <span class="date_text">02-06-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:08 AM</span></p>
<div></div><p>I am guessing that the pyro pet breaking single target mez is a bug ?</p><p>my raid group wants to see only the air pet and the fish/sharks if we are mezzing a set of mobs</p>

<div></div><p>First the fire swarm pet does a incounter based AE it will brake AOE mez, chanters have at 60 2 mez ablitys AOE and single. the AOE can be broken by an incounter based AE or AOE from anyone including pets. the single cast mez can not be broken by an aoe or AE. Spells we place on your main pet can brake mez ie: the seed spell line. Also our AE spells can brake the mez also so be carefull, My partner in life and in game is a chanter so I get to know this first hand.</p><p>Tyna 60 Conjuror Befallen</p>
<div></div><p>we remove all fire shields too when mezzing.</p><p> </p>
Why do you remove damage shields while mezzing?<div></div>

My thoughts exactly. Unless the damage shield procs a DoT (The Flameshield line is direct damage), mobs will <i>not</i> take damage from a damage shield once mezzed.
After asking, I kept pondering the question. The only reason I could think of is in the case that the targets are mezzed mid swing if they finish the attack before the "mez" takes effect, would the damage shield break mez? It's been awhile since I've played EQLive (over a year now), and I think this was the case there. But does that mechanic still exist in EQ2?Otherwise, I don't see the point. If I'm wrong and someone has a better answer, fill me in. Otherwise, I just really don't see the purpose to remove a damage shield.<div></div>
