<div></div><div></div>Hi there, just looking at forming a mage group with my friends, we are figuring wether we can realistically do dungeons and named mobs with just mages. Wizards, conjurers, illusionist, etc..The conjurers method of power regen to his party is the summoned item that costs health to restore power correct? Is offering/sacrifice a big enough heal to counteract this perhaps? how much does it heal at level 33, and level 47 and 60 in numbers, thanks!Do you think a conjurer pet can tank well enough for a group of mages to defeat named mobs and regular non-raid dungeons? Can pet only heals keep up with the DPS the pet will take.My concern is that a necromancer may be far better for the "main tank/healer" role since they have:Necromancer 33 Transfer Life Transfers health from the necromancer to target ally.Which can patch heal other mages in the group when they take damage before the mob is rerooted, or from life to power drain spells, etc.. I beleive the necromancer is the only mage who can restore life to players, making him perhaps far more valuable to the group then a conjurer.. Opinions?<div></div><p>Message Edited by Thessik_Irontail on <span class="date_text">02-02-2006</span><span class="time_text">03:35 PM</span></p>

Sac adept 3 heals around 1100 hp.About taking down named mobs with pets. You will not be able to rely on heal. The key is to stun/stifle/pacify/root your way out of things. I haven't tried it yet, but a group of 6 conjurors would be really mean group.<div></div>
<div></div>Well put it this way....the shard is used as a mana stone addition with about the same timer. Sacrifice is good I use it in poets all the time when downtime. The only thing about the sacrifice is it will put all aggro the pet generated on the caster. If you are a utilty person pumping heals to the party....DO NOT ENGAGE THE PET. Sacrifice works great in pumping the group during down time.

<div>If I had a group of 6 conjurors, I would have them setup a Stun/Stifle chain, just like the CH chains of EQ1.</div><div> </div><div>/gsay Casting Calcify. <div></div><p>What is the cooldown of offering, sacrifice? is it reliable to heal a group of mages who arent getting hit very often, only sometimes, and also from draining their life into power?</p><p>Can a conjuror summon a pet, sacrifice for a heal, summon, sacrifice, etc..? is there some limitation to this ability? What is the casting time?</p>

I find it extremely helpful in some groups where the cleric is not paying attention to anyone besides the MT and I see another caster about ready to bite it, usually that gets the heal up in enough time for the healer to take over.I've also used it as a mana pump or when soloing after a mob and the pet is VERY low on health, I just use sacrifice and cast another pet. Its quicker than waiting for the pet to heal itself up.<div></div>

I remember CH chains in EQ1 LOL. GOod memories there. As I level and find more good Conjs I may have to het a group oof em and try this out. Thanks.
Sacrifice probably isn't all that useful in real groups. But, when you're solo and having to resummon a new pet to get his power back quicker, it can help some. You get power back from it, as well as health. So you can Burning Vigor, Manastone (if you have one) and Shard of Essence, Sacrifice the pet and you're no doubt full health again with a bit of extra power. Resummon the pet like you'd have had to anyway, and you're set.I'm a 57 conjuror and usually duo with a 56 necromancer. My pet tanks, her pet is either the wizard or scout, depending upon what we're fighting. We are very effective, as just 2 of us. We can kill everything but the Matron's in Scornfeather's Roost, including the named snakes, which are 57 or 58 ^^^ most of the time. It helps that we are sitting next to each other, in that our timing is great for our stuns and heals. A group of 6 would be amazing, I'd have to think.<div></div>

I only use the Offering spell when I'm in the MT group during a raid and the tank runs out of power while the mob still has some HP left.
