When amends is cast on a summoner does it take aggro from just the summoner or summoner and pet?<div></div>
You. Pets have their own hate list.<div></div>

<div>... although it's worth noting that your pets aggro transfers to you when they time out or die. It's often a good idea for buffs like amends to be cast on the Conjuror.</div><div> </div><div>X</div>

<div>Would it be better to be casted on the pet itself? Typically, we get aggro because the pet takes aggro (and dies), if amends is on the pet....wouldn't that ultimately keep aggro off both of us? </div>

I am serious, I had a troub aggro debuff, amends AND assauge on my [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] pet, STILL took aggro... , no its not master but everything I cast is Adept III - that might have been why though but I'm pretty sure given any situation our pet can out aggro everything..</p><p>Gonna try a different combo next time if given the chance at this group hehe, troub buff - assauge on pet, amends on me , see how that combo goes, its kinda rediculous though, we don't have ANY hate reducers besides our 15 minute recast rune..I think its time for our pets to get a hate reducing buff.</p><p>/vote anyone?</p><p>Message Edited by OperationsX on <span class="date_text">01-29-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:46 AM</span></p>

<div></div><div>It depends really.</div><div> </div><div>Dumbfire or Swarm pets are commonly believed to transfer their aggro to the Conjuror when they time-out or die too. As a result, the conjuror may be a better place for Ammends in some situations, especially when the conjuror is working hard at delivering his own DPS into the mix and when fights tend to outlast the swarm pets.</div><div> </div><div>Also in situations where the tank isn't turning mobs AoEs can be quite destructive on pets and swarm pets giving massive aggro spikes for conjurors.</div><div> </div><div>Your choice of main pet will also have an effect. Air pet will usually stand up to a good few hits giving the tank time to pull aggro back again, so protecting the Air pet may be less important... but if you're using the Fire Pet with its massive DPS and very little hitpoints, you never want it to get aggro in the first place if possible - so ammends on the fire pet would make sense.</div><div> </div><div>Your tank should really be able to make a judgement call based on who is stealing aggro from him. If the pet is stealing aggro and the tank is having trouble getting it back or the pet is dying quickly, then ammends on the pet makes more sense... but keep in mind that other players in the group may well come first - especially since conjurors have stoneskin after a certain level which helps them deal with aggro spikes.</div><div> </div><div>X</div><div> </div><p>Message Edited by XtremSummons on <span class="date_text">01-29-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:46 AM</span></p>

We had a swash tanking and much dps so stuff was falling fast anyway, and throwing my fully buffed pet in the mix was just insane. We'd tear through a group before my pet had a chance to grab aggro, which he surely would have. Talk about fun, watching entire groups just get mowed down, and then pasting the parser results into /g.</p><p>In regular groups though, I tend to limit what I'm doing so as not to grab aggro from the tank. BP one fight, EV another, and so on. I ususally don't cast them until the mob has taken a bunch of damage and I know even if my pet takes aggro, the mob'll still be finished soon. Even limiting my damage a little, I'm still generally top dps on almost every fight.</p><p><font size="1">edited because I could</font></p><p>Message Edited by Daeloq on <span class="date_text">01-29-2006</span><span class="time_text">09:09 AM</span></p>

Thus, if he can benefit from Amends-on-conjuror's effect only after the swarm pet dies (every 45 seconds), it is not really worth it, compared to putting it on the pet, and getting a steady influx of aggro-transfer.</p><p>The drawback of putting it on the pet: when pet dies, do not forget to warn your tank to put it back on. Do not let that free hate-transfer go to waste.</p><p>Putting it on a healer is also generally a nice all-around choice, as the healer can heal for more with less risk.</p>
Also know that amends doesn't stay with the pet across a zone line. If you zone into a new zone, the paladin will have to reapply Amends to your pet.<div></div>
