<div>I just dinged 20 as a conjuror and got my fire pet. hoever, as all app1's are it is awful. But, when in stormhold, I got the Sword of Thunder quest starter and a coercer master that I will sell/trade for the pet master. I want to know what each one looks like. Describe or in screenshots tell me whether my app1 blab of lava will look WOW when I get it to adept III master I. Be VERY descriptive.</div><div> </div><div>Of course, I know it will not look like the dragon/gargoyle of igneous magi, but I do expect a nice graphic for a master I pet....</div>

<div></div>Pets now only change in color/tint and size with their upgrade level. If you want a new creature, you need to level up to get the next spell in the line.

The igneous apprentice he is talking about starts out as 4 or 5 floaty fire blobs. When I upgraded it to Master 1 (which was just a week ago, not pre lu-13 or whenever) it turned into an equally crappy, but different graphic of a ring of cinders, like the ones on the trees in Firemyst Gully. And it still dies about as easy. Not worth the upgrade IMO.

Moving up from app to adept to master isnt going to make the igneous survive any better. What it will improve is its DPS output. The wizard pets still go into melee range after their first three attacks. But they only have about 300-400 hitpoints. The best plan of attack when in a group using a wizard pet is to have it go behind the target. So that its out of the range of the AOE's which is what kills them. You can always put the pet into its defensive stance as well. It will hurt its DPS but it will increase its survivability. I prefer my fire pets in groups over my scout pets but its a matter of practice and tactics<div></div>

Since I mainly solo at these lower levels (only lvl 30 now) I beefed up my Tellurian spells, and mostly stick to him in Defensive stance, unless the mobs are double down arrow or the likes (heroics of course, lol). But with my Tellurain Soldier Adept 3 I can solo yellow heroic groups of 3, so it works out pretty nice.

Aye, the only pets that receive increases in HP with each upgrade are the tank pets. However, all pets receive significant damage boosts with each upgrade (the difference between Apprentice 4 and Adept 1 to Adept 3 is huge).
