<div>Does anyone know the name of this?  I spent the evening in the tombs with a conjuror friend who found one a while back but had it in his bank.  He couldn't tell me the actual name.  I need to look up how to get one for myself<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  It is two handed and has high int and power too.  Sounds wonderful. </div><div> </div>

<div>It's a nice situational item--i use it occasionally on Raids where my role is to use Tank pet to offtank an add on a named pull.   The named that drops it in LT (right at the beginning) and the mobs to spawn it can be easy soloed at 60 (and probably much lower).  Be advised however that the recast on the heal is 20 minutes.</div>

<div>Have they changed the recast time? I remember it being 15 minutes...</div><div> </div><div>I too use it situationally. I normally use dual wield because you get better stats that way - and switch the Caddy in when I need the big heal or occasionally when I actually want to melee (which isn't all too often).</div><div> </div><div>It's soloable at the level you can use it too (53) for now... though I hear that the loot tables are likely to be changed soon so grab it while you can.</div><div> </div><div>X</div>

It is still 15mins, and will likely always be 15mins. A quick recast would be too powerful. It's meant to be a sort of emergency thing.<div></div>

<div>Can you use the heal from your bag or do you have to equip it?</div>

You must equip it. However, you can set your hotbuttons up so that you can equip it (and de-equip your current primary/secondary) with a single mouse click, then use it with a single mouseclick.1. Put your Primary and Secondary items of choice into your bags, and hotkey them to your hotbars.2. Hotkey the Caduceus from your bag.3. Hotkey your primary weapon slot. It also comes in handy if you want to use an imbued wand, i might add.4. Equip your Primary/Secondary items of choice, and leave them there.5. When it's time to use your Caduceus, click your Caduceus hotbutton. You will automagically deequip your primary and secondary, and equip your Caduceus. Then just click your primary weapon button, and instant 40% heal!6. When you're ready to re-equip your normal primary/secondary, just click your hotkeyed primary item, then your hotkeyed secondary weapon. If you're in combat, do be aware that there is a 5 second delay between swapping items mid-combat.

<div></div>When was this? I just spent about 4 hours spawning and killing Aman and didn't get the damned thing.

<div>I got it in 5 hours but a friend of mine got it in under an hour. It's just pure luck how long it takes.</div><div> </div><div>X</div>

<div>I get it because I'm not trying to make it spawn, not like I can pick up a 2nd.  I think SOE likes to torment the players like that.  Oh you want that item, 5 hrs later drop, don't want that item, 15 mins later drop...</div>

<div></div>It dropped for me on my fourth time by myself.  Prior to that I had helped someone who had camped the spot for days, it dropped for him about an hour and half after i grouped with him.   Just a note to people who are camping this be considerate of others.  In otherwords, dont think you own the spot.  If someone else comes along and you both after this, dont fight each other just group up because this guy is very easy to spawn repeatably.<div></div><p>Message Edited by AbsentmindedMage on <span class="date_text">01-19-2006</span><span class="time_text">01:13 PM</span></p>

<div>I still haven't gotten around to camping this.  I despise camping items like this, especially in areas where there is a lot of player traffic.   However, I've seen during some raids where it would have come in handy (pet gets nailed by a 5k damage AE, would be nice to have a massive heal to help him survive the fight).   I guess I will have to set some time aside for this.  :smileyindifferent: </div>

<div></div>Actually if a group is camping him, you can do what I did: Offer 1 pp for the loot rights. Most of the people on Toxx will let you loot it anyways without money, but the 1plat is not earth shattering for a nice heal stick.

I've caught this 3 times in a row back to back to back a couple of times.I REALLY think that the spawn rate of the commish is not simply based on killing the 5 yard spawns, but based on what group kills them, and how much time passes from the 1st one dying to the last one dying.I've had CRAP luck getting the commish to spawn if:- Any other person or group kills any of the 5 yard encounters.OR- My group is too powerful and we kill all 5 encounters too quicklyOR- You're too underpowered and you take too long to kill the yard spawns.I've seen goups mowing through the entire area and getting commish pops once ever 9 or 10 cycles...I've seen groups fighting over the pops and not seeing the commish ever. Then I've come in... paced the 5 spots and killed em all in a normal amount of time, and see the commish pop 8 times straight. I've personally not been on any run that didn't pop the commish at least 1 in 5 cycles. Now, even if commish pops, he has the master chest less often than he has the crap chest. But I've sold dozens of the necklaces. They're good merchant fodder.

<div></div>Well, I guess my fears were unwarranted.  Got up early this morning to camp this, and I got it on the first clearing.  :smileyhappy:

<div></div><p>Actually had fun  camping this for myself and then later with a fellow necro of the guild. We ended up pulling a few extra enforces to help pass the time. I think it took us 2 hours or so to get the 2nd staff to drop. It also was sorta funny to watch people train on side of that temple all the way around to the other and then into the tunnel. Never really figured out what they were trying to accomplish, but lots of zombies running around is funny <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

Sorry for bringing this thread back from last year, but I wish I found this thread earlier. This staff is perfect since I usually solo most of the time and that extra heal can be really helpful. Last night while on a team at the tombs, they were nice enough after a long NPC/XP crawl to go after the Yeddahd's Caduceus staff. Luckily it dropped from the first spawning of it.  Just before that our team took down that L.55 Epic ^^ gnoll which was a lot of fun.
