hi, just came from a german necromancer board, they said how cool the necro can solo heroics and difficult enemies, they said necro is a DOT Caster but he can heal for tons and has lifeleech, manastones, damageshields, ROOT AND FEAR, and tons of other stuff that makes him awesome in soloing.(just had once long long ago an 35 necromancer and never had the feeling that im better in soloing than for example a beserker, cause it just was [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] difficult to support your creature without drawing hate on caster).my question is , if a conjurer can heal for same amount and has fear and root too and lifeleech etc, or if it doesnt have all this but something else instead.,does an conjurer has anythinmg a necro doesnt have?i dont know what to start , because i want to stay in qeynos with all chars but if conjurer really has nothing that beats root, fear and awesome heals of necro its a hard decision this time

First check out the excellent faq that Xalmat wrote thats stickied. Then also go through a couple pages of this forum. You will see that this question gets asked, and answered, daily.

Pets that tank a notch better, more AoE capabilities, more group-oriented buffs, more damage-oriented abilities (flameshield, seed), stun and stifle. CotH and powerful snare at higher levels.

Oh, and we smell better, and chicks love us more, as we are less creepy.

In short: you are looking at the 2 faces of the same coin. Both are pretty much equal, and can do the same things if played by a skilled player. Only a matter of flavor.

And we're forgetting that Necros get the cooler looking pets

I think the conjuror just has the edge over the necro for soloing. There's very little in it though. More important in your decision is whether you want to be good or bad... the two classes are so close that that decision is probably more important

X

Our pets are so cool, and the illusions we use that makes them look blah is great. We have a Fire pet that looks like a stripper.... In the sticky Xal has told us to use the lizard illusion as sson as we cast it. Earth pet looks like the Thing from Fantastic Four, and the Air pet is a tornado that looks a little like the MCP in Tron. Thank god for the illusions or they would make our pets look stupid and the air pet like a ghost .

Ok.....out of fantasy land and back to EQ2 "reality". Our pets do lack in the imagary but makes up in umphh. Our spells are mostly generated to the group encounter.

For a complete breakdown Xalmat has the details in his great sticky post....ewww my fingers are attached
