Ah, Metal chests. Well just about any "Named" creature has a chance to drop Metal chests. Named in dungeons have the highest chance of course.So basically wherever you can solo and still get chest drops is where to hunt.

Try soloing some of the instances in DoF...Sanctorium and Scornfeather Roost (never done it solo myself, but heard its possible).    Think metal can drop off a lot of the named mobs in Clefts....the plat farmers sure hang out there a lot, that's always a sign.

just goes to show you how diffrent servers have completetly diffrent lingo for stuff in game. on my server specially my guild steel is allways called out when a master chest drops and hell if i know why

I think it is made out of indium and not steel.
