<DIV>Yup, we qualify quite well.  Generally dps refers to any mage/scout, but some groups can be picky (or for that matter, narrow-minded).</DIV>

We, ourselves, are hardly a DPS machine like assasins or wizzys etc.  But with a decent level (adept 1 or higher) pet out, we become monsters.  The pet will produce some serious hurt while we supliment it and add in stuns and the like.  Its a versitile sort of DPS that allows us to be (IMHO) much more effective in a group then say, a class that just pumps out numbers. We (with our pet) pump out number but we also have buffs, stuns, stifles, mana shards, etc that give us more that we can do to help our comrades. <div></div>

Decent is an understatement. Combined with our pets and our swarm pets, we're among the highest damage out there.

My conjurer at least dishes out 50% more burst dps than wizards, and 2x the sustained dps of my wizard</DIV>

Conjurors are amongst the top 3 dps classes for raids, our dps becomes particularly potent over time, if a fight lasts longer than 30seconds our dps is higher than that of a warlock / wizard and we are extremely power efficient too.

I misunderstood it at first too :pHe's just saying that the conjuror alone (without pet) can't keep up with wizzies and assassins, but with pet, we can easily match them and on most encounters go past them too <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Whoa I thought we were a utility class...only sit in the back of the group hand out shards.....sacrfice our pet every 2 minutes....and sit on our purple monkey.....oh yes and just this...kill anything that killed the group for spite...then rez the healer after solo looting the master metal box<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />..........To call us a non dps class would be a shame.....I usually get about 150-200 dps with out the dumbfire pets. If there is more then one mob in the group i have been usuaing average 500-700 dps a second for the first few mobs.
